people are way too quick to hit expire around here its a joke... they should make it so those that expire it names show under the thread (bit like you can do with polls etc)

this is a great heads up and deserves to the heat and attention it should get..
#12
Why expired?
#13
Why can anyone expire a deal when they feel like it?

In theory, what they are promising is Wii consoles at £72 max. Hmmmm
#14
if someone else can hit the report/spam button, click other & put un expire

http://www.amazon.co.uk/blackfriday

I'd say thats pretty self explanatory, even if it doesn't contain the details on MSE post. Seeing as its on the amazon.co.uk site I'd say this is mucho hot. Shame I cant vote to that effect. Unexpire maybe? Pleeeeease? ;)

has been posted a few times but this is the first actual detail we have had-will be interesting to see exactly how many of these lightning deals actually exist. Black friday in America is HUGE,I wonder if this will be a genuine black friday type sale or just a marketing gimmick?

will be interesting, but Im willing to bet by the time anyone on HUKD finds a genuine bargain and posts it here,it will be long gone so its gonna take some serious page refreshing on amazon to get the real bargains.

why moved to mist & still expired?????

and surey this is a 'heads up' post so should be in misc until proper details are available?

The key word is "UP TO".

Still Amazon offer the best prices.

Info from Official Amazon press release posted on MSE

Temporarily moved to MISC until confirmed. We've had a number of black friday posts already, the main one >

http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/amazon-black-friday-deals-heads-up/797309

And have been trying to find a confirmed press release link at amazon, but can't see it as yet.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/press/home

Once details are confirmed we can move back to deals (heat is retained in MISC) and I have flagged for further review / confirmation.

How do you know they are from an Amazon press release? just because its been posted on MSE, doesn't mean its real. If you look at the black Friday page on the Amazon website its says nothing about specific price drops and neither does their Twitter page....

As Barky says - if/when these deals materialise they'll be gone very quickly - so its more like the lucky dip comps they've done in previous years....

true, they mention black friday, but not these details-if you look at the bottom of the amazon homepage you can read all their press releases-last one was 21st october-there is no detail on their own site and no press release. so I dont know where mse got this from?

We've just had this press release through so wanted to give you an early heads up.

No-one is disputing that Black Friday deals are happening - its just the specific deals mentioned. They probably are true and be available in very limited numbers but until proof is provided its just rumour. A post on MSE is not proof and as its not happening until next week no-one is going to miss out on the deals by waiting for confirmation

a post by mse STAFF is alot more proof than half the "my freinds dad works there" posts you see.

seems some people are just bitter that a) they didnt post the thread themselves. b)MSE had insider information before others..

this is meant to be a deal site helping each other but people are making it more and more hassle to bother with posting..

There is a great deal of posting across both sites and as for this heads-up the first time this was posted on HotDeals was 4 days before the post on MSE.
http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/amazon-black-friday-deals-heads-up/797309

So if any post about Black Friday is going to be moved from Misc to Deals it should be that one....

but
a) this thread should be spammed as its a duplicate of one already posted
b) no, it was posted here before mse

Did you read what Andy said???

andywedge
nicster08,
I've spammed mine and brought yours back and also moved back to deals. I wasn't aware you had posted earlier, but yes, the info has been confirmed now. However, at the time Sigma was right to move it to Misc as it was unconfirmed (and later member spammed). It should be in deals as it has specific info about what will be available - whereas previous Misc threads have merely said that Amazon are having a 'Black Friday' with no product info.

Yes I did but both Sigma and Andy were obviously unaware of the earlier post posted four/five days before your post.

If a duplicate is posted then the later deal is spam, your's is the later post. So its spam.

Sabelu has posted very few deals - he/she isn't likely to post any more deals if someone can re-post the same deal at a later date and get the credit. Standing rule on HotDeals is that the first person to post a deal - their thread stands and the others are spammed. This rule should apply to everyone.

However end of the day it won't really matter with is particular deal as the deals will be posted individually when they appear.
