Wouldn't trust stock PSU's

Buy this + buy a better power supply. Power supplies are the most overlooked item in a computer, and it all comes down to buying a cheapo one or a proper branded & trusted one. Choose the wrong one and it will result in some or all of your components in your computer to brake.

If your building a cheap pc, then this is a pretty good price for a case, psu, speakers, keyboard & mouse...don't forget delivery tho..

... not only is it running - if you've checked it properly - looks like they're being more flexible in the sign-ups... the postcount requirement seems to be a lot less.

Well said. I have been seduced by cheap psu's before and founf that I can use a 300w psu and get better stability and longevity than a 400w.

More than likely a ColorSit (ColorShit) case.
There's nothing wrong with the case but the PSU will more than likely be downright atrocious.

I had an AMD Athlon 1800+ pc with a case in a bundle like this and the PSU stopped working after a couple of months. (Yes I changed the power plug at first to a 13amp one but that shouldn't cause the thing to blow on me...

Tim

Yep its a 'Colours IT' case.

its identical to what I had apart from what the case looks like.

I have bought this case its cheap and nasty the holes for the motherboard are not drilled corectly into the case so when you try to install the motherboard risers I had to use a pair of plyers to screw them in!! its not worth the hassle stay clear!

Personally depends what your using it for, I'd probably risk the stock psu if I was just recasing an old rig that I didn't care about and it wasn't a deamanding setup. Might even use the stock psu for a new rig if it was an Atom or something :p

However for anything else yes i'd agree use a qualty psu.

THANKS mate I ordered a computer off them for just under £800 (with a damaged case) and I still had to pay delivery but phoned up today and told them about the case and the free delivery and they said that they will refund me.

Hmmm, the amount of times I've heard this yet I have always used stock PSU's and not had any problems. I've been building PC's since 1996. This one I'm currently using was built in 2001 using a stock PSU in the case. It's still running fine and I have had no problems with it.

Of course, I may just be lucky :-D

Join AVForums FFS, post 10 times (or maybe even less) and its FREE P&P. This IS a good deal even if the PSU is a pile of sh*t. I would like to see you find a case + keyboard + mouse combo for that much!

Was probably on TodayOnly at the time this was placed - so it's expired now... is still fairly cheap.
