Thats without blackberry services which is £5 on top and without free internet. This Virgin contract you will get all of those for the extra 42p, pretty sure thats worth it lol.

Yeah, 2G only the 8520, shame but not that bad.

Not bad, but not good either. You can get free BlackBerry Curve 8520, 600 cross-network mins + 500 texts + Unlimited BlackBerry for 18 months, £25/month. On top of that is a possible 7 months half price by redemption.

Not voted either way.

It does,

and total contract cost for Virgin deal is £480, compared to £450 for the deal I quoted plus a possible £87.50 off by redemption. AND you get more mins, and a shorter contract :)
[granted you get unltd texts on the Virgin deal, but thats the only advantage]

unlimited blackberry and unlimited internet are two different things.

Unlimited blackberry = unlimited emails.

Thats a pretty good deal, only imagine cold votes because its one of those cashback sites, even though thats not what the deal is based on.

I have a Tesco flyer I picked up last night for this phone (As stated earlier in this thread), and it says it includes the unlimited internet on Orange, is that wrong?

A tesco flyer advertsing the phone on orange? Sounds wrong.

Yep it is pretty good, I posted it again because its changed slightly, now the cashback is automatic making it even better! Think im gonna order that now. Only problem for me is that its not on O2 :-(

its probably right, but im guessing its not for this price - it will be for a lot more.

Orange are notoriously rip off artists when it comes to charging for blackberry. Or data in general.

Youv noticed aswell. Thought it was just me, Most of their contracts you have to pay for the data, rarely included, and most of their deals i see 500mb cap instead of the usual 1GB

if u dont need unlmited text., you can get

600 mins
500 texts
unlmited internet and blackberry

£20 with orange. at a carphone warehouse branch.

Nice for those who need for mins, is that 24 month contract?
#24
The only thing i'd say being with virgin but on the verge of cancelling my sim only contract is check the meaning of unlimited.

For example the internet, on payg etc its 30p per day for like 25mb or something which is they say is 'unlimited' but if you go over they charge £2 per mb and ive ended up with a very very big bill.

I'm sure the limit will be a lot more generous for this but might be worth finding it for sure if you go for it and that they won't charge.

Just a heads up but otherwise seems good.

orange deal is 24 month. and the fair use on data is 500mb which is loads. I have an iphone and use it loads and only hit about 400mb.
#26
I'm waiting for the Iphone Tesco deal which is due out before xmas..........hopefully they will come up with more than just the 86p Orange managed to come in cheaper than O2 over two years!

Yeah i know, Well theres the 18 month deal for £25, Works out at £450 instead of £480 for the 24 month deal, So its £30 cheaper and your contract finshes 6 months earlier. However i think its probally worth paying the extra £30 and get 6 more months.
#30
ive been with vodafone 3 months got one of them sim deals for £10

well i ordered blacberry bold 9700 had a choice of all models

18mth contract first 15 months at £20 remainder 3 at £40 all confirmed in email of price plan

for 900 minutes, unlimited text, internet 500mb and landlines and blackberry services

Daughters bill should no longer be over £20, im quite happy with vodafone so far.
#31
is the internet on this as easy to use as the iphone?
#32
I find it easy but cant comment as have not used i phone.

My daughter preferes blackberry to her friends i phone,

All i know now is she says she wouldnt have any other phone than a blackberry even missed on on her sony ecrison satio
#33
Good deal
#34
i use bb and wouldnt use any other phone but internet browsing is rubbish compared to iPhone - only thing i miss abiut my iPhone is the browser
#35
To change the subject slightly, has anyone seen any reasonable deals on the 9700? Best I can see is Vodafone: 18 months, 300 mins, unlimited text, 500MB data + BB service for £35 a month, with (I think) 9 months half price cashback via onestopphoneshop. Looking for about 300 mins, 500+ text, plus net and BB service...

(If only o2 were doing it...)
#36
Yeah the internet browsing on the iPhone is second to none imo, ive had blackberrys in the past and have always got on with them and they are nice phones although since finally breaking and getting the iPhone i wouldnt go back.

Seems a good deal for the money this one though, heat added.

£4.89 extra per month if you use the Blackberry email client.

Also states that this offer ended on 30th November, but it still seems to be on???

Maybe the free 1208 and credit has ended???

Noticed that to, may have to pay extra £5 for the email client.
