This is also a curve... If you mean how it compares to a 8900 Curve then the answer is that it does not compare...

8520 is missing gps and is a low end ( stepping stone) blackberry... So may not appeal to heavy BB users.

This is a low end BB without 3g/GPS and it has a 2 MP camera without a flash. However, it does have wifi (unlike the Storm :D).

This is perfect for someone I know. Heat added. ^_^

Why would anyone possibly want a work / productivity device for fun?

Hard question to answer. Maybe for the brand? Afterall, there is the BlackBerry hype now :D

I like the track pad, but i much prefer my 8900! had it for 2 weeks now, and it handles everything i do on a day to day basis fine. I'd get the Gemini if i wanted a phone for music, and ONLY music. No GPS, smaller screen res and downgraded camera from the 8900.

Have some heat though my friend!

CarPhoneWarehouse have a press release stating that, apart from the obligatory pay monthly deals, they will have a Violet version of this phone on PAYG Orange @ £199.95...

Black, unbranded and unlocked for £250 @ Play is still a good deal
