Redemption can be a pain, my sister had to send hers recorded delivery which cost a little bit plus the company was really fussy about the dates that they would accept the copied bills (i think there was an issue at the start where he bill date was the same as the redemption date, meaning she could never claim, but think that got sorted out after a few phone calls.
I did redemption about 10 years ago and it was fine, but its not for everybody.
Voted Hot btw

No idea why cold although have not checked all details on website. I have had no problems with redemption, have had at least 6 contracts this way usually through mobile.co.uk and one through e2save - pretty easy if you follow simple instructions

Nothing. It should be hot, but there are a bunch on here who automatically vote all redemption deals cold.

I am currently running two redemption deals, and getting the cheques with no problem. One is with Phones-4-You and the other with Mobiles-co-uk (both Carphone Warehouse online subsidiaries, as is e2save).

Of COURSE you have to send in the right bills on time, but it isn't rocket science. You have two months grace to get them in (it used to only be one month), and for one of my deals I can send them online, with immediate acknowledgement that they have been received. You don't need recorded delivery if posting them either- just send a photocopy second class, and if you don't get acknowledgement right away, send another. I've never had to send twice.

If you are disorganised, forgetful, or can't be arsed, then go ahead and pay full whack, but voting cold is a cheap shot. I make a PROFIT on all my mobiles, and don't mind five minutes effort every few months to do so.

voted hot. Ignore the idiots voting cold.

the "idiots" are probably voting this cold because you can get this phone PAYG for circa £150

Current hottest deal is LA Noire game at a 15 quid reduction. You would have to buy about 27 of those to make the same saving as on this deal.

But with PAYG you would then have to pay for service/calls. This deal is not just a free phone, but 15 months free service, including internet, AND it will cost a lot less than your PAYG phone. Not comparing like with like.

all well and good, if you want to use the PAYG. but it is also a crap phone. I wouldn't want this phone for 2 years. And I've had this phone myself.

Just my opinion. Shouldn't really have to justify why I voted cold, but oh well.

The LA Noire comparison is a misnomer as well. That's hot because it's a hot deal in comparison to the market and the saving is hot in comparison to the RRP.

OP, don't take it personal, people have different opinions on things. That's what makes this site what it is.
