The new blackberry bold 9780 which is not even out in amazon or play.com is in the carphone warehouse for 350 quid, bought mine on saturday, couldn't beleive it, cheaper than the bold 9700 at the o2 store which sells for the same price :S... i know, anyway definitly recommend it to anyone amazing phone!

Amazon asks £450 for it, and play £400.. I've checked carphone warehouse online and the deal is not there, so pop down to your local one should find it there!

£350 + £20.00 topup on 02.

which branch was this?

Good price if its nationwide. I almost spent £400 on one on Play at the weekend, only my connection timed out! Would be interested to hear if anyone else gets one at this price

right, does it still truncate email when they exceed certain size?
#4
dunno why this has been voted cold, seeing others are selling it £400+, bought mine last thursday it's nationwide, however its not available on the web or over the phone.

handset is £350 + £20.00 topup on o2. so total is £370

Cheers for the info Samosa! I'll have to take a trip to my local store and pick one up.
I think most blackberry deals are voted cold on HUKD, I think people rate the phone cold rather than the deal cos they havent a notion how to use one or are apple fanboys.
After picking up an Ipod Touch 4 last week, I wouldnt touch an Iphone with a bargepole, no substitute for messaging on the blackberry!

If you're thinking of getting this, you'll be better off waiting for the new Bold 9780 with better specs
#7
According to the heading, this is the blackberry bold 9780!

Bought one tonight, it's instore only on o2 and orange. Didn't make me buy a sim either. Has taken all night to set up! Not as straightforward as the iPhone. My daughter loves it though!

Can confirm Carphone Warehouse in Derry stocking these at £350 on O2 PAYG, no need for purchasing a topup if you already have a SIM you just buy the phone.
#13
ooooh now this is tempting. Will check my store tomo.

Lets heat things up

Picked mine up today. One thing to remember, the girl on the desk said she couldnt sell it to me without a PAYG sim card attached, she said if I had one with me and a number she could sell it to me for £350 but because i didnt I had to buy the sim card and phone for £370.
So bring a PAYG sim card along with you, activated or not, if you are looking for it for £350.

Thanks to the original poster for the heads up on this deal, bargain and voted HOT!

If I buy it from http://www.carphonewarehouse.com with no contract, can they be unlocked? I'm planning on using it in India. I need it right now, can't wait till they launch it in India.

The phone I bought from Carphone warehouse has no sim lock on it.
#18
just bought mine from amazon for £376.00 still isnt a bad price. got to shift my 9700 now, not looking forward to the scammers on ebay with that one.. lol
#19
It only costs a tenner even if it is locked to a network.
