Original Blackberry Accessory.

Blackberry Standard Micro USB Cable for 9500 Handsets...

Will presumably fit other phones as well. Looks to be much more expensive elsewhere.

13 Amazon reviews all give it 5 stars out of 5.

Is this different to the mini usb on a Blackberry Bold 9000, and many other devices like TomTom sat navs, many mp3's etc?

'fraid so. This would be suitable for one of the new smart phones like the HTC Desire.

Thanks OP - hot and ordered.

Cheers ordered one as a spare, ideal for my Genio Slide.

This cable is a Micro-USB B-type.
The left-most one shown in the below picture.

It looks like you paid with your gift certificate balance, unrelated to the code you entered!

Actually, 99p ones all gone and only appears to be available direct now (for 95p) have to click on '36 used and new' on right hand side of the page.

Would be wary as to whether these will charge an HTC Desire. Has anyone tried? Bought some cheap cables from ebay that didn't (would sync though). These may well work but the Belkin ones on amazon definitely do.

A couple of the reviews at the bottom of the page say it does work with the HTC desire, but I suppose they could be posted by anyone....

Ah yes. One of the Amazon reviews says it works on a Desire. Ignore me :-)

Original link has now risen to £1.26 but 95p link by elofty works fine - look in New and Used.

Received mine today... doesnt work with Orange San Francisco... pretty flimsy actually. i know you cant expect much for the money... but a working lead would be nice :(
#32
Just received mine, this is actually not OEM
#33
Hmmm....Sorry guys - I feel a bit guilty about posting this now, in view of the above comments, I was just going by what was said on Amazon's website.

I hope you will post some negative reviews on Amazon to counter some of the glowing positive ones there.

Charges my Desire, even at full speed with the one amp wall plug, but the computer and phone don't recognise each other :(

These Belkin ones are still £1.99 at Amazon: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/belkin-hi-speed-2-0-micro-usb-cable/776097

Sold by Amazon Jersey/Indigo Starfish, so they _should_ be genuine.

As these Blackberry ones were dispatched by Amazon you can return them for free for a refund, don't let them get away with it, have your money back even if it's only 99p.
