Blackberry Charger/ HTC Desire etc USB Charger & Data Cable £1.00 @ Poundland

COJonesCOJones

Angela68 posted this deal currently at 152 degs for a Nokia moby charger: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/poundland-signalex-usb-nokia-phone-charger/949106

BUT - Signalex also make various other charger cables on sale at PoundLand (Samsung etc) - the coolest one IMH (well...because I have one) is the Blackberry charger cable that ALSO fits the HTC Desire (and i'm assuming the other HTCs with the same shaped charger adapter thingy)...but - it also works perefectly as a data cable too!

Not sure of expiry...guess when they are out of stock - but they are in there most of the time.

I bought a few to have dotted around home/work/mates (particularly good at work as lots of bods have Blackberrys on the go too) - for a squid a piece - can't complain!!!

As an alternative it looks as if there is one on Amazon for 95p inc delivery ....

...yep saw that one CyBerman...just not sure if the mini-usb type bit is the same size...the newer HTC one I think is flatter and wider than some of the other (older?) Blackberry/HTC mobys - this one is a definite fit for the HTC Desire (but to avoid any doubt, the way they are packaged instore - you can at least take it out and try it to make sure and replace without causing any issues/getting the wrong bit of kit ;) ).

Wonder if they're decent cables, or dodgy imports. I've bought some cheap ones, are all they caused is frustration that it doesn't connect to sync, or doesn't even charge.

I bought one of these and it's decent quality with thick cable and was delivered quickly. Has a Blackberry logo embossed on it (can't confirm if genuine though!) and works perfectly with an Orange OSF.

I'd reather check the goods like this in the store - cos if its the wrong one there aint all the messing about sending back - refunds - resend to me etc. For this I vote heat.

I have the very same 4 for £2.97 delivered from the eBay seller mentioned above

Nothing wrong with them and delivered very quickly.

As for 'dodgy imports', where do you think the expensive branded ones come from?

Is there really any difference between sony erricson/HTC/nokia/blackberry/samsung usb chargers? The manufacturers all went to micro USB to "Standardize" and reduce electrical waste (and needing so many different chargers) so as far as i know they should *all* be compatible with each other. In fact the only manufacturer that refused to standardize was of course..........

Yeah but it'll take all day to charge

A mains charger will take 20 mins

This of course depends entirely on the phone and the charger.
My HTC takes about 4 hours. Hardly all day.

Although its slower it shouldn't take all day, mine was down to 38% charge, put it on USB charge about an hour ago, now upto 88%, takes bout 3 hours from totally flat. No reason to plug into mains for me being next to a PC about 14 hours a day.
