If anyone's interested, the blackberry classic is back in stock to purchase at selfridges online. I'm not sure if stock availability is in-store. The phone is currently out of stock elsewhere and the price is £19.01 cheaper than the price advertised on the UK blackberry shop.

Blackberry by far the best phone I've owned currently have a z10 and beats all the others I have tried, but due to lack of app support now it looks like I will need to change to a more mainstream brand, pity as quality and design wise nothing comes close .

Even if cheapest suggest due to ongoing rumours of company going under/taken over eg samsung...

Lack of ap support, lack of development, companies moving away from exchange etc.....

I have q5 and the call quality is crystal clear also the blackberry hub is a great feature. the biggest let down is the app store which to be honest is dire but if calling, texting emailing and browsing the web this is the phone for you.

I do want one but I think they will be around 250 in February

obviously we're in 2015 & the company hasn't gone bust! If they did then they wouldn't be releasing phones and people still buys them. Just because a brand of a phone isn't as 'popular' as it use to be or you aren't fond of it, it doesn't mean people shouldn't buy! If you don't like a phone then don't buy it, if you do then buy it. Simple. Move on. This stupid mentality of people saying not to buy a phone brand because it's not popular no more or not appealing is annoying and pathetic! If you like blackberry, apple, android or windows then buy it! It doesn't matter what year it is or the popularity! If the phone is ideal or appeals to you, then go for it!

he's right though people have stopped buying them. The BlackBerry app store is abysmal, truly shocking. Until recently spec wise they seemed to lag behind the competition. there is no real USP for BlackBerry any more.

Agreed but disagree with your point about there being no USP for bb.....

" While this is just one incident, it does illustrate that BlackBerry still has a vital role to play in the realm of mobile communications. As we’ve noted many times in the past, executives at highly regulated industries and high-ranking government officials still depend on BlackBerry phones to make sure their messages are secure.

So while many consumers have chosen to go with the iPhone and Android phones, BlackBerry still has a place as a very important niche player in both the business world and in government. And if nothing else, the Sony hack should demonstrate to companies that having a stash of BlackBerry phones on hand in case of emergency sn’t the worst idea in the world."

Perhaps and I would agree that they may still have a future in business sectors. however the irony is that most businesses use models that are four or five years old rather than the revamped handsets recently.

They are too far behind 8i

I cannot see them clawing any of the market back in what is essentially a two horse race now between Android and IOS, and that will be down to the poor app store.

people nowadays dont really care anymore about messaging, call quality, ect like someone said its not 2004. its about the apps, the camera, the screen, the look and style, theres so much more you can do on an iphone 6 or top andriod phone.. this looks liks a sad desperate attempt to attract some old customers back with retro nostalgia..
