BlackBerry Curve 8520
With six months free unlimited internet and BlackBerry email
(fair use 1gb internet)

ALSO COMES WITH 2GB MEMORY CARD INCLUDED.

Plus unlimited FREE texts for 30 days from activation.

Good deal as phone is normally £150 itself
and blackberry add on is £5 or 7.50 a month on tmobile
£5x6= £30
7.50x6= 45£
thats a saving of 30quid. or £45
but if you buy the 6months of internet its £20 for 6 months. Really good option for payg.

Been informed by T-Mobile sales rep that its online only at the moment, but should go into stores in a couple of weeks, maybe a few weeks.

Other phones also available, Tmobile Pulse etc.

But you still get 6mths free internet and blackberry service! As far as I'm aware, any other place you buy this phone from (Carphone Warehouse, Play.com etc) does not include this 'add on'.

I currently pay T-mobile £10 per mth (£5 each!) for these privileges on my contract!

Great deal OP:thumbsup:!
#8
how much will it be to use the internet after the 6 months? and is the fone unlocked?
#9
I'd have like this phone but the reviews I've read (on GSMARENA, etc) aren't that good - in fact they indicate its just pretty...average.

Anyone know different?

definitely a good deal for those who want not only Blackberry but the famous BB internet and email service as well. 30 days free text is a absolute bonus. The phone could be cheaper but for extra freebies..can't complain.

Someones got a crush on the OP. It must be right about the effects of sports cars on women lol

Anyway, can someone elplain the facination and the world craze with blackberrys all of a sudden. What does it do above and beyond a normal phone, which justifies buying one? Im not a critic, was genuinely wondering.

So its like a contagious fever then, this blackberry craze. Oh, did i say you had a crush? Im sure you do all the crushing, you heartbreaker you.

I love my Sony Ericsson too much to experiment with another brand, but then again my upgrade is due.....stop wearing me down people, im not so strong!!!

And what the hell is this bb pin?
#19
Can anyone confirm whether locked or not, and how easy it is to unlock ?
#20
If you put a pay as you go O2 sim inside and use wife connection can you still check emails?

Does this phone come unlocked?
#21
Will be locked

spitroast
#22
blackberry is too slow for internet! they only do wap right?:p
#23
Phone will be locked to T-mobile. Can phone up T-mobile to unlock it for £15 which they can take out of your airtime credit.

If you put in a different sim card then you won't be able to use blackerry email, blackberry messenger, blackberry browser and other apps that use the blackberry apn like facebook for blackberry.

Some people can go without the blackberry services by using opera mini for internet, google mail app for email but it kind of defeats the point of getting a blackberry. Although you can't beat a blackberry for a decent qwerty.
#24
I should of posted this :( , Saw it over a week ago on their site :/ ha
#25
I know the first 6 months of BB services are free, BUT a blackberry on pay as you go seems counterintuitive
#26
bargain buyer are you drunk or taking drugs?

Getting it PAYG means you can't use BBM by the way.
#34
is this phone unlocked??
#35
if you dont plan to use the tmobile prepaid card then you might want to look at
http://www.amazon.co.uk/BlackBerry-8520-T-Mobile-Mobile-Phone/dp/B0038K5V94/ref=sr_1_21?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1268035860&sr=1-21

you will get a 2GB memory card free. dont know if tmobile are throwing one in...
#36
ok for children with tiny fingers. A normal phone is easier for texting on. I was gifted one of these from my work. Horrible piece of equipment and T-mobile is borderline useless in large parts of Scotland.

Not bad deal if you must own one of these.

AFTER THE 6 MONTHS YOU CAN PURCHASE 1 MONTH AT A TIME FOR £5
OR PURCHASE A BUNDLE OF 6 MONTHS FOR £20.
Kindly dont chat what you dont know.

:thumbsup:anyone know how the internet actually works? is it 6 months from blackberry or t mobile? looking to unlock and use via o2 so would this work or not? thanks in advance
#40
as mentioned above

IT COMES WITH 6MONTHS FREE BLACKBERRY INTERNET AND EMAIL
its the full blackberry services
this means
you can do facebook on the blackberry app
use blackberry messenger
and have emails come through
as these use the RIM servers and this is why the specific blackberry internet and email service is selected
as opposed to standard tmobile internet.
