First post, bring your guns out, I don't really care, just tryna give some back after getting so much :)

Went onto virginmobile site after getting a call from their marketing, stumbled upon the Blackberry Pearl 9105 3G for just £120 including £10 top-up and free 300 texts. Seems a good deal as the next cheapest price is around £150-£200. Although delivery is £7.99 which might put some HUKD'ers off (yes you) but if you are really interested, check instore if you can get same deal and avoid delivery cost.

The basic Blackberry Curve 8520 goes for around this price but this Pearl 9105 wipes the floor with it in terms of specs (minus QWERTY keyboard). http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3287&idPhone2=2889

I know the 'official' mobile phone for HUKD is the OSF and this isn't it, so not expecting much. But hey, here it is, go grab it if u need it.

What's OSF?

Orange San Francisco, remember that - it's the most important abbreviation on the forum!

Wow. Excellent price! Heat added. This was £220-£250 at Christmas time

I bought mine in January for £130 from Phones4U, very good entry level Blackberry phone, its just brilliant! I got the Blackberry OS6 on it a few weeks ago, this is only available on only a few selected Blackberrys at the moment.

Ok.

Why do people compare the OSF to every single phone deal? Yeah, the OSF is a good phone, but its also a budget level android handset. This is a completely different phone aimed at a completely different kind of customer. You cant really compare the two.

Great find op! Im sure that a lot of people will appreciate this!

Dead dead dead nice phone. I bought one on the CPW sale for £100.
But can't connect to Microsoft Exchange servers unless they're blackberry enabled.

And I don't know what the Blackberry Internet Service shenanigans was all about either.

Lovely phone, but a couple of funnies that people without blackberry experience (eg, me) might find difficult to get a handle on.

May just ditch my Galaxy S and get one of these. I stopped using the Galaxy and went back to my old BB 8220 Pearl Flip.

How do you use BIS on Virgin PAYG? Do you have to top up and convert credit every month? Anybody here already doing so?

when virgin marketing rang me yday, they succeeded in selling me a SIM only deal of 100mins, unltd text and 1gb internet (which will be BIS) for £5. not a contract, just a top-up bundle. I remember they didnt have BIS for payg but the guy on the phone said they now do and will be added to the deal he offered me. hope that helps somehow

Cheers mate.

T-Mobile offer a 6 month bb or regular internet booster for £20 but although their Sim works fine in Virgin phones, I hear that they only allow the BB booster if the BB is a native T-Mobile handset.

Wonder if they would allow me to bring the Virgin BB handset over to qualify for the booster?

Won it in a competition mate, will be passing it on to a family member for free. Apologies!

bought it from Three for £149.99 + topup. Didn't realize it has no qwerty keyboard...Blackberry without Qwerty keyboard is kind of strange. Returned it straight away. Impossible to Type fast.

Spoke to virgin as im a broadband customer - £110 for the phone, plus free £5 sim card - but £7.50 delivery.

Might pop to my local shop and see if they have it there and will match the online deal.

Nice seems i was sent a second hand phone, rang up to make a complaint , worst customer service ive ever dealt with, someone elses pictures on phone and also battery went dead after like an hour and they are acting as if its not a big deal, transfer my calls 3 times and all people who cant speak english correctly, think ill just get a refund and deal with a company what knows how to treat people.
