There will always be someone who want's this tablet, to some one who was about to spend £400 + on this the deal is amazing.
I don't care for the tablet myself but I can see if the current going price is £400 and you are paying £149 it's a good offer for someone that does.
I can buy a £20 Snap-On spanner and a £1 spanner from Wilko. Just because the Wilko one is cheaper doesn't make it a deal, it will break pretty quick.

+1 This site is called Hot UK Deals, not Cheapest UK Deals. Where's the definition of 'Hot' on this site? There will always be this uncertainty although I agree that some people will find it a cracking deal - just not me.
Wake up - if you have one then you've been asleep for the past year! Sideloading is hardly necessary since the release of OS2 and OS2.1 will bring further improvements. The BlackBerry video conferencing client is good (only between BB kit) and secure - because BlackBerry is designed for business, not as a toy - but there is also ReelPortal which allows video calls to any other platform and you CAN use skype via imo.im.
If you want to big up another product, fine, but instead of jumping on bandwagons, why don't you actually try to find a 7" tablet with 32Gb, good sound, great build quality, a 5Mp rear camera and a 1.2Mp front-facing camera for the same price.

I don't think I bigged up any product in my post and I don't want to mess around paying a fortune for expensive apps that are like skype, I want skype/netflix/avi files. I agree it is a great bit of kit but it's useless without software.
Why would I jump on a bandwagon when I actually own one of these useless bl**dy things? I also don't agree with your description of it being a business tool, its called a PLAYbook for gods sake!

Designed for and yet totally shunned by business. No one wants these even after RIM spent a reputed £17m launching Playbook with Vodafone. 95% business now want Apple devices because, like it or not, they work. Blackberry in general are not reliable and the last three generation of smart units have been duds. Yes I hear all the "crapplers" trolling and shouting about, but I am in the mobile comms business and I know what sells and what people want. Unlike the Playbook, I've never had an iPad returned due to customer dissatisfaction. Thank God we got rid of the remaining Playbooks we had recently before the price nosedived (along with the Motorola Xooms!).
EDIT - didn't see tesco or HMV hot deals for nexus -wasn't looking for that type of product.
Tab 2 has no HDMI support which was a deal breaker for me. Nearly got a 10" version.
Carphone Warehouse had no AT200 to sell me - yet 2 on display which couldn't be sold.
I bought this 2 days ago with 3 yr accident cover for extra £32. The 16GB Playbook deal is the hottest active deal this month and 20 quid more for extra 16GB built in storage isn't too bad - I just ordered a couple of the 16GB microsd cards for £5.39 on here this a.m. so . . .
It is going to have limited use so I am hoping it can do for that.
Sods law that the £65 wendy lou tab came up yesterday -ordered - with 1GB ram and improved screen !!!
So many of the current tabs have major/fatal design weaknesses such as old OS/ no HDMI/ not support USB storage/ no microSD slot/ poor processor/ limited software that I wonder why people buy any of them, especially at original asking prices.

The video apps I quoted are FREE so hardly overpriced - but if alll you want is Angry Birds v27, by all means go elsewhere. I agree the $/£ conversion is dire, but then, so is Apple's stranglehold on Music downloads, etc. Horses for courses.
As for 95% 0f businesses wanting Apple, well that's called fashion - was the customer dissatisfaction due to hardware issues? As I said before, if you want to big up another product or it sells better for you then great - but show me a piece of kit with better spec for the same price.

I don't think anyone could argue it isn't a well specced kit for the money but it's useless without apps/software.
I bought the playbook because I wanted something to play on.
First thing I did was try and locate myself on google maps. It doesnt work.
I went to plug in an external drive to watch some movies. You cant.
I transferred (eventually) some avi films across to the PB. They didn't work.
Thought I would take advantage of the great front facing camera by skyping my family abroad. Nope you cant.
Last week I joined netflix and eventually thought I'd found a use for it, guess what? Yep it didnt work.
Think you can contact all your friends on different phones using whatsapp? No you cant.
Think now you own a Blackberry device you can now use Blackberry messenger? Not a chance.
I wouldn't recommend this device to anyone no matter how low in price it becomes.

Movies work fine when converted to iPad format - the converter is free, so don't understand your problem - and of course, with HDMI output as standard you can see them on a big screen.
I can't argue that the Apps base is far smaller than for other systems, but what you seem to be complaining about is that it's not Android or iPad. I don't think that was ever claimed, but Android emulation is getting better.
As I said before, horses for courses.
