Doesn't really need an explanation - this is just one those famous O2 deals that I have posted recently where you can get the phone for cheap by ignoring the contract. These phones RRP @ £250 - £300

Link for Bold 9780: http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phone/pay_and_go/month24/BlackBerry/Bold%209780%20Black

This is what you get:
FREE phone
50 mins
250 texts
100mb internet

£13.50 per month for 24 months. If you want more internet, its £3 a month extra for 500mb internet or £7 more for 1gb. This makes the deal very flexible but if you want more minutes/texts, the price starts to get a bit steep but you'll still get the cashback. Therefore, this deal is very appealing for the light user or if you want to get the phone cheap.

*It is possible to cancel the £3 a month bolt on for 100mb internet after first 30 days (I think) which brings the cost down even more.*

Prices:

No internet (after cancelling bolt on after 1st month)
10.50 for 24 months - £90 TCB = £165

100mb internet:
£13.50 for 24 months - £90 TCB = £234

500mb internet:
£16.50 for 24 months - £90 TCB = £306

1gb internet:
£20.50 for 24 months - £90 TCB = £402

THIS DEAL IS ONLY FOR 3 DAYS! ORDER QUICKLY ;)
EXPIRES 9th MAY

Stingy tip: Buy an accessory with the phone and you'll get £101 cashback so if you choose an accessory costing less than a tenner, you'll get a free accessory as well as extra cashback! ;)

Dont rely on this as all those who took accessories with the Desire S at Easter only got 20% cashback for their accessory.

Ok, I originally thought wow about this deal, but im a bit concerned about the number of minutes per month X) 50! Is that really enough minutes?? They will charge you alot for going over. The phone itself can be sold so this contract potentially free and you gain a small profit also but then you need a contract on top or pay for more minutes somehow. Its a mind boggler.
Just cancel contract after you have been paid cashback...

It normally takes a month to get the cashback so if you cancel after 7 days you get declined.

So once you have your cashback. What will you have to pay to cancel contract?

To be fair Torch's been around for a long time, waiting for Torch 2 would be much better.
#11
When or where is the cashback mentioned on the way through to checkout?
#12
also there is no BBM on this contract which is £5 a month

Where is this option? The cheapest option I can see for an 18 month contract is £18.50 for the first month.
#15
Are these easy to unlock (if they do come locked to O2 that is)?
#16
Unless I am blind and can't see the tariff....i didn't think you could advertise the price for £13.50 as cashback isn't guaranteed?

Also, 50 minutes and 250 texts isn't anywhere near enough for someone who would need a blackberry. Is it even enough for anyone who needs a mobile phone?! Surely if you use it that little, a PAYG would be a better option.

Thats a different phone .. torch is 9800 thats a bold 9780.
#18
Got to say i wouldnt go for this contract .. no bb services ... 100 mb of internet .. 50mins is less than 2 mins a day lol ... but it is cheap .. just doubt it would work out

the 100mb is the blackberry bolt on, the bolt on allows you web access and bbm and email. I manage a phone shop so can confirm this. we only offer the 8520 on this tariff at the moment so this deals is awesome

Am I right in thinking you take this contract out, cancel it say after a month, pay off the rest of the contract, then you get the phone for say less than 200?
#24
Is anybody else having problems completing the order without getting errors?
#25
thanks, amazing deal. Now i can get rid of my 2 year old Blackberry Bold 9000 for £50 essentially making this deal £115 for me!!! :D

Yeah I think thats what the others are saying. But why not just keep the contract as a spare, the cost would be the same if u keep or cancel it

does it have any o2 logo on the BB?

Sign up to quidco or topcashback, log in, find o2 in the merchant links, click on it and the o2 website will open. Make sure you make the purchase within that directed browser and the cash back should track within the quidco or tcb site.

Google them.

Could someone confirm that phone will be unlocked? Thanks

Depends if o2 charge a premium for wanting to cancel, as well as the cost of paying off the rest of the contract. Not really something you can check without taking out the contract, the wanting to cancel it :)

Ok I need a bit of help understanding.

I currently have 6 months left on my iPhone contract but I lost my iPhone in Dec 2010. So I'm using an old crappy phone for now.

Can I get this deal then buy it out after like 3 months and use my iPhone sim in it?

Also, will I get £90 cashback through Quidco?

Thanks
