This is Blade Runner: The Final Cut, Ridley Scott's definitive new version of his science-fiction masterpiece.

Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) prowls the steel-and-microchip jungle of 21st-century Los Angeles. He's a "blade runner" stalking geneticaly made criminal replicants. His assignment: kill them. Their crime: wanting to be human.

I've never actually seen Blade Runner, I've been looking for a good deal on the HDDVD or BluRay though.

I recently watched it again after about 20 years. I chuckled at the beginning when it says that it's set in Los Angeles in 2019. The year 2019 doesn't seem so far into the future anymore - I'm sure we won't all be riding around in flying cars and living on "off world colonies" in ten years time. Ah well, it's still a great film. Still looks futuristic......except for all the cathode ray tubes.

It's always funny when you see these old movies and tv shows which are set in the future and they're all still using video tapes.
