From the Blah website:

To maximise your VAT savings as we offer more items for sale at blahdvd.com, we are separating out the cost of picking, packing and posting on some of our items. This allows us to reduce the overall cost of these items and, as previously our prices were inclusive of postage and packaging, will benefit customers who buy multiple items from us.

Any items with a separate P&P charge will say so on the product details screen and have the amount shown on the checkout before you confirm your purchase.

Postage and Packaging is added based on an initial postage charge and then an "Additional Item" charge for any other items for which there is a P&P charge. For example:

If you bought one of the 'Official Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (Xbox 360)' shown in the example on the left you will only pay
One times £17.99 for the 'Official Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (Xbox 360)'
Initial postage of £4.99
Total cost of order £22.98

If you bought two of the 'Official Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (Xbox 360)' you will pay
Two times £17.99 for the 'Official Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (Xbox 360)', or £35.98
Initial postage for the first 'Official Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (Xbox 360)', £4.99
Additional Item postage for the second 'Official Xbox 360 Wireless Controller (Xbox 360)', £3.99
Total cost of order £44.96.

Buying one item would cost £22.98, buying two items reduces the price per item to only £22.48.

Seems to be a combination of cunning (no VAT = lower prices) and cheeky (separate P&P makes it appear cheaper than it is).

I really dont understand why people demand or expect "free" postage, just add the postage cost to the item cost, if its the lowest, buy.

With Free delivery, or delivery included in the item price - as that is what it is - its better for everyone as the price you see is the price you pay. Making it easier for your customers - why trick a click?

Some items are free postage and packing.

E.g. the 360 pink wireless controller which is £17.99 - which must be the cheapest wireless 360 controller anywhere (delivered).

is cheaper for the pink controller. if you check between. www.dvd.co.uk www.base.com and www.blahdvd.com they vary in price but seem to be the same company.

but delivery is not free.. why should people buying more items subsidise the cost of people buying fewer?

GTA IV is cheaper at Play.com if you use the 5% RAC discount

My current white battery is on the way out so this deal came around at the right time. Picked up two from BlahDVD (one for immeadiate replacement and the second for my spare controller).

Blender, I am holding your responsible for for the 8p difference in price after finding it cheaper at 101cd.com :-D
