Its back in stock and well worth it for £279.99 with code and 5 year warranty.

This tv is rated bad due to poor speakers like most tv's

Most people with 50" tv's really should have at least a soundbar or 5.1 and amp surely ?

Free delivery also.

Save £20 when you spend £100 or more on selected Electrical products using eCoupon code TDX-PKJK

Warranty for 5 years free, no need to add to basket.

Sorry - what code?

Agree most TV's built in speakers these days are near to pointless.

Have a Blaupunkt, horrible dark patches on the back of the screen, often never starts the LED back light so have to switch on and off, speakers are truly awful too, only reason we bought it was the price... would rather have spent a little more on something else.

Better off buying a 50 inch Toshiba from the same site, with a free bluray.. Only a £100 more

Will get this and leave it in the box and see if anything better for the same money turns up in near year sales . 28 days return

I picked one of these up in the Black Friday deals. Once you've tweaked with the picture settings the picture on hd is awesome. Sd broadcasts not so good but in fairness on a tv this size 480p is going to look poor. Sound is adequate, in that there is sound. I have added a soundbar and its a lovely setup. Well worth the money

Think this is a steel , seeing 50/50 comments so just hope I get a good one.

Well over a year ago, only had a 1 year Warranty, bought it from Sainsburys via a deal on here... Actually swapped it out for a Toshiba Regza, shoved the Blaupunk upstairs, the Toshiba is a million times better, never had 1 problem with it, but with my failing eyesight I could do with something bigger oO

Great price and great TV. Sound isn't a massive problem and if it is you can pick up soundbars cheap enough!

Had this for £249 in Black Friday sales, great bargain, picture is quality on HD.

Shocked this is not hot yet!

In two minds, currently have the 32" version.......maybe a tad too big for the bedroom......so to speak.(_;)

Having a soundbar doesn't excuse buying a poor tv

after the black friday chaos in Tesco stores around the country,...I can say that is the most popular TV for People with ASBOs. :D

Was this the T.v that everyone was going crazy over on Black Friday ?

I think the black Friday ones were 42" rather than 50"

Come on now people! So many HUKDers got this TV on black friday and its constantly poor reviews. People are buying this and fixing that in order to try and get this tv up to par. Its not worth it. Just read the thread!

Post the deal on the Job Centre forums and watch all the chavs go fight over them again.

£249 a week or so ago and now 279 how's this a deal?

Voted hot for the price but I would either:
a) Pay a bit more to get a top brand or
b) Pay the same amount to get a smaller screen from a top brand

If all you want is a big screen then go for it, especially with 5yr warranty.

Great TV for the money. Yes, the sound isn't great but run your outputs through a soundbar or amp and it's fine. A little motion blur but what do you expect for this sort of money and like people say, the HD picture is excellent.
#33
Is it not a bit strange that the speakers are so poor, considering Blaupunkt is primarily an audio equipment company?
#34
I bought this online in the black friday offer and can honestly say its rubbish! Picture is awful on non hd and as for sound, well i have a £10 portable speaker that sounds far better than this.

Like others have said, either spend a bit more or get a 42" from a better brand for the same money

There are several makers in Europe.
TPV - Mainly Philips and low end Panasonic.
UMC - Who make this and Technika.
Vestel - Probably the largest who supply the rest of the low price, Bush, Polaroid, etc.
LG, Samsung and Somy still make their stuff under license in Europe.
Toshiba is a mixture of TPV and Vestel product.

Cold; was cheaper a couple of weeks ago. Just returned mine last night as well. Too big for a flat and the sound really is shockingly bad. Worth paying 30 odd quid more for a smaller Samsung model IMO.

Got this on the black friday deal, well worth £280!

You must have come from a very poor CRT to make these comments, the picture quality is average
