This looks like a pretty good price for a 50" 1080p television. It's fairly basic, but at this price, you can't really complain. Three HDMI ports and a USB port. It doesn't appear to have any smart features, but if you already have a decent set top box or PlayStation or Xbox, you don't need all that.

Sign up for the VIP club and you also get a free 5 year guarantee. Not to be sniffed at!

No, I suppose it wouldn't be 4K at £380. Of course, you could apply that useless logic to almost any deal on HotUKDeals. It's a good price for what it is.

If Richer Sounds do start selling a 4K telly for under £400 though, I'll be sure to PM you.

No kitchen sink either!

4 is useless until someone starts making stuff in 4 , and at the moment the standard might are very poor on 4 tele'

would this be good for Gaming? Surely a good deal even if you'd need to buy a free view HD box? what's wrong with it?
#9
not a criticism of the deal but why are tv's still being sold with analogue tuners that nobody needs and with the abundance of sky and youview boxes why aren't more tunerless tv's offered for sale.
just a thought.

At this price for a badged TV I'd expect 3D/Smart functions.

Its expensive IMO

Has anyone actually seen this ? Or any reviews ? I remember bluapunkt were great 25 years ago at making car stereos but now Im worried they maybe like how wharfdale have become and found inbetween the cereal and booze aisle at asda!

Analogue tuners are still good for those who pipe Sky for instance around the house.

Got this today, best decision to make at this time (50 inch 1080p for £379 with free 5 year guarantee). 4k is a red herring, no real use over the next few years. "Smart TVs" as far as I'm concerned were deprecated before they were first rolled out.

Totally agree. Hdtv had a point to it. Smart? Get a roku/chromecast. 4k? Curved screens, 3D? Waste of hard earned money, but we follow the Corporate Shepherds, bleating for our next iPhone/S phone.

Might get this TV. Anyone found a review.

Lol no one broadcasts more than 720p yet! 4k is pointless unless you're loaded!

Netflix streams 1080p. You can see the stream resolution on the ps3 app by pressing select. Netflix has some 4k content as well, although have no idea what devices will stream it and what kind of internet connection you would need for that!

I know this yes, but that's streaming via Internet. I meant broadcasting via satellite eg sky, digital TV, Virgin.

Can you please post a link to a less expensive 50" that you'd regard as good value?
