You mean ' were ' as in past tense?
Your logic for a cold vote doesn't make great sense - tesco aside it's a bloody good price for a 50" HD TV

Yo betcha :p

And yo can't even guarantee it's the same model??!!!

Two wongs don't make a wight'

It means it's not really that good a price if it's been on sale for cheaper before.
banned#6
I know what it means poker' but was it the same model?

If so - prove it......

Still think it's a good buy' bye....

people will also see this as a poor deal because its a cheap nasty make. it's a massive tv for only 300 so don't expect too much from it. you get what you pay for. !

Well zombie' not everybody has much more to spend then £299! That includes me - how can yo verify it's a ' cheap nasty make ' - you ever owned one? Noooooooooooo I didn't think so' expert on TV manufacturers ? Noooooooooooo
I didn't think so'

People voting this cold - explain why?
Probably because most people these days know that "Blaupunkt" as a premium brand hasn't existed for 3 or 4 years now. It will just be a crappy Chinese set with innards no better than those sold in supermarket own brands, but with a formerly premium badge on to trick people into buying it and thinking they've got something special.

Not voting either way, just an opinion as you asked...

Not quite. The parent company manufactures Bush and Technika (Tesco 'own brand') products, amongst other cheaper brands.
Guess where all the parts for all these cheap Blaupunkt TVs that are suddenly doing the rounds are coming from...

I have no problem with cheapie makes, my TV until recently was a 28" Bush CRT that I bought on special from Aldi about a decade ago. I've now upgraded to a cracking modern Sony set though! (32" CRT, was £15 off eBay :) )

It's think it's just the deceit that people don't really like; putting a premium badge on and trying to live off the glory of former reputation.
#18
I have a Blaupunkt 32 inch tv in my bedroom and its fine and dandy had it over two years and still going strong.
#19
We got a 3d Blaupaunk about 6 months ago and the image has nothing to fault.
Too many people on here give reviews without even seeing what their reviewing.
How many people saying it is c**p have actually owned one. My thought are very few.
I've just added Blaupunkt to my list of items that will get negative cold volt. The others are 4k, curved and Apple.

Well I think it's fair to say' there's not much evidence on this website - or any other ( yes I've checked ! ) that this manufacturer of TV has any faults that justify it being labelled a crap make! Just goes to show doesn't it - the trolls with little / no experience of the quality of the product!
Thanks to those that bothered to comment especially those that actually own this brand!
I'm gonna get one in the morning !

You are missing the point !! - everybody knows the more you pay the more likely you are to get a better product - HOWEVER' this is a 50" TV for less then £300! And it has all what people expect for that price plus more!
Read up all you like' have you owned one ? Any personal experience ?
Can you match a. Samsung / LG / Sony / whateverrrrrrrrr make to this brand ?

Noooooooooo yo can't

The case rests - happy new year

I haven't seen it no' but I'm after a TV for less then £300' - this to replace
our LG 40" model which is over 8 years old' - a plasma' which cost considerably more'
Thing is - I don't expect this TV to be any better then my LG' in fact for this price' If it was a little worse then the truth is - I'm not that bothered!
Reason being it's less then £300' and I don't watch an awful lot of telly' it's affordable and claims to be a good spec - for the price tag!
Not everybody has much more to pay for a ' better known ' brand is what I'm saying ( irrespective of any flaws which are unproved in this post )

By actually OWNING a Blaupunkt for the last six months I know what it's like. It was bought as we got money back from a set that went faulty after two years and i need one for the asap. I have found nothing bad about it that would not make me not purchase the make again.

You most probably buy speaker cable that £20 per meter because some audio mag said you would hear the difference over £2 per meter cable.

You also seem to think we want to spend £1000's of pound for a tv. It would be nice but not everyone can afford to do that.

1.contrast I have not had a issue with
2.sound is ok but not great like every other tele.
3.refresh rate I have not had a issue with games etc seem fine.
4.build is fine.

Happy New Year and thanks for taking the time to post the deal and for winding up the ne'ersayers.

Awwwwhhh' cheers kristoff' not bad pretty good can't complain' one of my favourite tracks lol' thing is - imagine your a new player trying to break into the UK TV / electronics market' ? Even a brand such as this gets slated - all because it went asleep for a few years! Some good replies on here that actually own / have owned this or a similar model' for those that don't yet chose to slate it as being rubbish -

There's nothing much I can say except -

Whateverrrrrrrr ;-)

I have a 23" TV from this brand and I must say I love it. I've played my ps4 on it and no issues at all. I would definitely buy this brand again. 50" tv for £300...Bargain!! HEAT
#36
It seems people (some) on here expect the finest "name" products for nothing, and anything else is just not acceptable to them regardless of price, experience or knowledge. This is a ridiculously cheap price for this size telly, backed by a European Warranty for £300. What the hell do people want. Good find and well posted. Added my heat. Seems some people like to jump on a bandwagon for no good reason. Get a life nay-Sayers.

Happy new year people. It is an interesting thread this one. I voted cold as chances are you are not getting a very good tv at this price point. Now i accept i haven't seen this in action but there is a reason they are being sold for this price. When buying a new tv just remember you could have it for 10 years plus so worth doing a bit of research. If i was buying at this price point now, i would go for a smaller tv and go for a respected tv brand.

So even though people have said they have it and there is no problem with the make you are still going to vote it cold.
So if they were to be selling it at double the price it would be better as you had paid more for it?

This is the reason I now look in the new items listed here and not just the HOT ones. Too many people like to vote hot/cold without having a clue what their voting for. Some poster put recently he never looks at the temperature anymore because it doesn't work. A lot of good deals are spoilt by unthinking sheep pushing buttons.
#39
It's a budget brand now so I am not even sure this is a deal. Anyway the majority have spoken. Give up
#40
Got this telly, picture good but agree sound is tinny, we got sony surround sound and it's good now. Some deals on sound bars at moment.
