If you want a decent arcade stick for Street Fighter IV without paying £100 or so, this looks like a good bet.

The item has a specified delivery date of 24 April and while it is a new item that has not been reviewed yet on Amazon, it looks like it's exactly the same model as the Subsonic PS3 Arcade Stick which had good reviews http://www.amazon.co.uk/Subsonic-PS3-Arcade-Stick/dp/B0011EOPN2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1239268425&sr=1-1

I've had the Subsonic on order for over a month and it keeps getting delayed + it has no fixed delivery date. So the Blaze looks like it's the one to go - though dont wait too long as these things have a tendency to get out of stock as soon as they come in!

Yeah I wouldn't go for this to be honest. Either wait on your Subsonic (as that's about the best arcade stick you'll find on a budget) or splash out on a Hori EX2, an HRAP, or get the Tournament Edition stick. There's not really much point in buying an arcade stick if you're not going to buy a decent one, otherwise it's just a crap product that takes up lots of space.

Also, Blaze have a history of bringing out cheap knock off versions of other products, so until reviews actually come in on this when it's released, I'd advise not to pre-order.

I dont know about Blaze's history and you might be right on this. But did you compare the pictures between this and the Subsonic? There is absolutely no difference between the two except the coloured buttons... which makes me think they are produced in the same factory and are exactly the same stick except for the brand name.

It's relatively easy to make things look the same - counterfeiters do it all the time - doesn't mean it will perform the same.

Yes, but did you bring in the factor that Blaze have always been making rip-off inferior versions of products?

Hmm well if the Subsonic and this one are the same stick, why would the fact that it's branded Blaze change anything to the quality of the product? I don't think this company would have gone down the route of trying to make a "counterfeit" version of the Subsonic, since the latter is not quite the Gucci of arcade sticks to start with (a counterfeit of the MadCatz would have been more plausible).

In any case, I dont disagree there is always a potential risk since it's a new product. As far as I'm concerned, I have this one on order as well as the Subsonic. Since this one will probably arrive weeks earlier than the Subsonic (the Subsonic may never arrive at all), I'll just return it within seven days to Amazon if I'm not happy with it (Distance Selling Legislation)......

I have the subsonic - it's a great piece of kit, with a very nice feel to it. the only issue i have is that it's too easy to lose track of if you are pressing X or L2 button, etc. I might try and find some rubbery 'nipples' to put on the shoulder buttons, to make it easier to distinguish them while playing...

id wait for the £29.99 horis at amazon to come back in stock or pay a bit more (£69.99) and get the madcatz official stick.
look how close the stick is to the edge of the casing. that will cripple your hand after a few minutes of play.
plus its a clear rip off of the subsonic.

not sure if the horis will. i called game for an update on their stock as i want a stick and can get this for £16 del with a rpoints voucher. anyway, game said the hori is being discontinued and not being made anymore - this was from the supplier.

can't afford £70 on the madcatz stick which is in stock at game etc. may take a punt on this one.

I use it and it is good!!! I am so much better on a pad but trying to learn using an arcade stick with this version.......well I have the Hyperkin KO fight stick which is the same as the CDR king, the Subsonic and the Blaze fight stick. Yes it's small but it does the job. The stick is responsive and so are the buttons. Give it a shot as for the price you can't go wrong. It works on PS1, PS2, PS3 (subject to update) and PC. The buttons are a tiny bit more spaced out than the madcatz sticks but for such a small price you can give it shot and see what you think. Please note I am VERY good on a pad and can execute Dragon punch, FADC into ULTRA almost every time but on a stick I am quite poor at it so please note it will take A LONG time to get good on a stick. The only reason I want to learn a stick is that once you do then all fighting games you play can be on a stick which are all virtually laid out the same as opposed to vast difference in pads. I always prefer pads and I'm still so much better on a pad but if you want to learn stick there is nothing wrong with this. All the people that say it sucks have not actually played with it!!!!!!!! TRY IT FIRST :)
