Bear with me....
Sainsbury's are currently selling peanut M&M pouches for £1 and on the top is a voucher for Blockbusters, collect two and you get a free movie/game rental. Eat eight packets and do the 4 DVD's for £10 deal - seems good to me !!

it's a great deal though, they last well and you can put them in biscuits etc don't have to sit and eat them. It's picnic season also fun in a picnic basket. Heat and rep :)

No longer 4 for £10 at my BB, it's 3 for £11.50 - rip off!

this is a good deal but i dont understand why you would need to eat 8 packets just to rent 4. is it not the same just to eat 2 and get 1 rental. then you dont need to have 8 random packets of m&m's open:) is the offer on any other sweets?
#9
But the chocolate keeps.

It;s a good deal and is always promoted by MSE because of the saving. I'd say good deal if morons didn't expire it.

Im with you i dont get what you mean whats the 4 for £10 got to do with anything if you get 2 wrappers 1 game/movie is free isnt it so if you got 8 wrapper 4 games/movies are free??

it shouldnt matter if the games/dvds are £5 each or 4 for £10 should it as there free to rent if you have 2 wrappers per dvd/game or does it just give you monmey off not a free rental

So £2 for a blockbuster rental and 2 packs of peanut m+m's ? Am i reading that right ?
#14
I'm not even sure if you have to buy them - is the code on the outside of the packet to enter into their website. If it is, which I think it may be, you could copy it down and use them without buying them. This seams a little naughty though, at least if you buy them you will have something to eat. You don't have to obviously eat them all in one go
#15
why has this expired - they are in sainsburys as we speak !!

Agreed the 4 for £10 is worse than 4 for the £8 cost of the M&M's - thanks for pointing this out

I work for Blockbuster, as far as i'm aware its on all Mars pouches (m&m's, maltesers, revels, mars planets, etc), and depending on the size of the packet you get more points which you can redeem for rentals. Kinda gutted i get free rentals, cuz i love m&m's lol.

Has anyone used this to rent a game yet?

There is no indication on the promotional packs nor the website on whether it can be accepted for game rentals: http://www.bagabignightin.com/index.aspx

I'm thinking of doing this (though my local doesn't have the promotional packs of peanut M&Ms) to rent a game.

Thanks to anyone who can shed light to my question.
Scar

PS:
How easy is it to set up an account at Blockbuster?

Totally misleading description; CANNOT be used for games. Taken from T&C:

4. Film rental Vouchers- A Film Rental Voucher will be valid for 7 days following its printing. Film Rental vouchers can be redeemed at Participating Outlets for any film on DVD or Blu-ray disc (excluding box sets and video games). A claimant must become a Blockbuster member if he/she is not an existing member.

Hmm...
Perhaps it's the individual store's decision (thanks for pointing it out Bhav007)? Aidey10 could you comment?

For those who's Sainsburys (like mine) do not have the promotional packs of M&Ms Asda are doing a similar promotion of 3 pouches for £3 so in the end £1 a pack (usually £1.50 each).

Though not as good for those who are buying these just for the rental voucher - may as well try and find a promotional pack of the larger pouch as you only need one of those for a film rental voucher (assuming it's under £3).

Cheers,
Scar
