I still have not upgraded my console and therefore still have a PS2, however i did managed to bag a few bargains for this.
All PS2 games priced at £7.99 are now reduced to £3.99
All PS2 games priced at £3.99 are now reduced to £1.99
Like i said i dont have an XBOX360 or PS3 myself but the staff were definitely in the process of reducing these games to...
I`m not sure if this is available online or not but it is definitely available In-Store

Please be kind as this is my first post :)

Blockbuster Sold GAMESTATION to Blockbuster about a year ago and they haven't finished rebranding all of the GAMESTATION sections of the store back to Blockbuster yet!

So this I am guessing is a Blockbuster only deal!

edit :- There are reductions on all preowned games on all games consoles..

Pre-owned only

Thanks for the heads up OP

Also just another point I overheard some of the staff talking when I was in there saying that the staff were NOT entitled to any Staff discount on the sale prices...
So possibly one of the rare occasions where the customer is being treated as well as the staff and hopefully more opportunity for all of us to grab some bargains...

I was in there today - no sign of a sale in my local one?

There is definitely a sale on and the staff in my local Gamestation were working there way through the price reduction as i was in there.. I would my extremely surprised if this is not nationwide...
The games i brought still had the original £7.99 labels still on... I asked the staff if they were in the sale and that is when he told me all these games had been reduced but they had not managed to label all the games with the new prices yet..
#8
any info on the prices of PS3 games in this sale would be very helpful, as i dont want to go to gamestation for nothing.
thanks :)

Like I said unfortunately i still have an old PS2 and therefore I`m unsure of any PS3 prices, All i can tell you is they were reducing games for all consoles...
While i was in there the staff were reducing XBOX360 games and must have had approximately 200 games on the counter which the staff were working there way through price reductions on these games at the time before moving onto yet more price reductions on YET MORE GAMES...
Heres a thought BradyBrade surely for a chance of PS3 games being on sale surely its worth that little time to get to your local store and failing that could you not give your local Gamestation a quick phone call and ask them if there store is participating in the Gamestation sale...
Its not worth waiting for all the decent games to be sold and then later moaning that all the bargains have been snapped up...
I hope you all manage to get some bargains, Those of you who manage to get to your local store that is... :)

Do you know how long this sale is on for?

Which is your local store if you don't mind being asked?
#11

I`m not sure if this helps but I`ve noticed people listing a lot of offers from Blockbuster this evening and as my local Gamestation is actually situated inside my local Blockbusters (blockbusters takes up 2/3rds of the shop and gamestation takes up the remaining 1/3rd of the shop)
I apologise if this seems like a mix up, but a lot of the items that were for sale have Gamestation labels on and thats why I assumed it was Gamestation but having just checked my receipt it is clearly showing as it was sold by Blockbusters in the Gamestation section of the store...
If anybody could enlighten me as to why this maybe I would be really grateful...
Does anybody else have a Gamestation situated inside there Local Blockbusters store???
#14
Also as this is my first post I`m unsure of how to add Blockbusters to the title...
Sorry
#15
gamestation used to be part of blockbusters until game bought them last year

now blockbusters do their own in **** instore but still use similar labels or old labels

simply if you bought from inside blockbuster its nothing to do with gamestation/game which is why when others have gone into gamestation they aint sh** goin on

gotta love the 79 degrees of heat with the wrong store listed lol

Will pop in tomoro, thanks for the heads up.

As the OP said he has a PS2, and the PS2 games were reduced to £3.99 & £1.99 accordingly; hardly the price of a next gen console or its games. I'm sure he's entitled to treat himself to a few cheap games, not least when he's taking the time to share a few spotted bargains with people on here out of the goodness of his heart.

What does he get for his troubles? People deriding him for it. What is wrong with you people?

Thanks for the heads-up OP.

Be very careful with these pre-owned titles - taking FIFA 09 back today as it didn't work, no manual and terribly scratched. Some good prices though if you can get copies in playable condition.
#19
Can we keep it back on topic, we wanna know if:

A). This is nationwide?
B). What PS3 deals are there?
banned#20
Look forward to seeing what games are reduced...still got £70 credit to spend

just gamestation though...no blockbuster here :-(

This is a nationwide Blockbuster reduction in prices for all console games.

I went into my local blockbuster yesterday and rented a few DVD's and as I know the staff, they told me about the offer. As it is my son who has a PS3, I went back after school and he bought Grand Theft Auto on the PSP for £1.99, Darkness on the PS3 for £3.99 and Army of Two on the PS3 for £12.99.

A lot of the games are pre-owned, but they were selling new games as well, for instance, they had Need for Speed-Undercover on the PS3 for £14.99 - bummer as I got this for my boy a few weeks a go from Game for £29.99.

We appreciate when we get the heads up on good deals and for other people to place less than helpful comments on a forum site made just for this, they just need to get a life and grow up.

Many thanks.

OP, thanks for the posting, ignore the fanboy whos obviously had WAY to much coffee.
#23
Anyone know how much they are selling the xbox 360 wireless adaptor for as my mate needs one?
#24
Thanks OP. But there is no sale on at Game or GameStation where I live. I think it might be something to do with Blockbusters. I'll confirm later today when I have a walk down to my local one.

But the PS2, Gamecude and old xbox games in Gamestation are being sold for between £0.99 - £7.99 in my local store (Not on sale) so may be you got a few gems in the bins there.

Ignore the Sony fanboys! Nice of you to post it. :)

Has anybody confirmed if there is a sale in Blockbuster stores nationally, or just in the one where yamarac visited before posting?

If just in one store, then this "deal" thread should be closed, or it should be made clear which specific store the sale is located.

Excellent. Guess i will have to go to my local Blockbusters myself to see what sort of offers can be had.
#28
Enough BS, lets keep to the deal at hand please. If anyone could get to Blockbuster and jot a few prices down for the top sellers, that'd be great.

Can we get back to the topic at hand or this thread will get spammed/expired. I popped into one of my local Blockbusters last night(whillenhall) and they had reduced a lot of preowned Xbox360/PS3 Wii pre owned game to £14.99.(need for speed undercover was one of them)They have also reduced all pre owned pc games regardless of age to 99p!! While i was buying some of these pc games, the one guy behind the counter was marking up a load of xbox360 games at £17.99(new not preowned) to put on the shelf. Command & Conquer 3 and Brothers In Arms Hells Highway were just 2 that caught my eye. Will be popping back in today to check and confirm these reductions

I am going to have a look in my local store after lunch if i get the chance, will report back prices.

No deal at my local BB btw. These must be twilight shops that exist only if you run in to brick pillars.

Off topic posts removed. Please only post comments related to this deal, not the merits of different consoles etc as this is a Deal Thread, not MISC. Thanks.

Ah, I was going to nip in later but those prices sound the same as what they were when I went in last week.

I think the fanboys are the ones who come onto PS2/3 posts and **** off the PS in favour of XBox, or Vice versa

I have been here since march...its always the same thing here but 9/10 times its PS3 fans who come on to slate the 360 not the other way round. There was a problem a while back with PS3 fans expiring 360 deals too (Fifa 09 deals mostly)

PS3 fans have some sort of superiority complex tbh...its an odd thing, noticed my mate does it too, always bang on about how you have to pay for this and that and the RROD and forgets the PS3 has problems too (HDD failures and blu ray probs - in fact I know more PS3 users who have had replacements than 360 users) and not everyone wants all the add ons included...eg wireless no good for me as router too far away to pick up decent signal (homeplugs are the solution)....same with having to pay for XBL...PSN users dont realise how good live is compared, even my mates now convinced that live is better.

take this thread as an example...someone makes an innocent comment about the PS3 being overpriced (which I agree with) and the PS3 fan launches an attack. 360 users rarely instigate this as they are all happy with 360 as a console, yet up jump the PS3 fanboys (not saying you btw) and start an attack

do we have any confirmed prices and games yet anyway?

anyone see a copy of football manager 09 for the pc at blockbuster?

Thanks, yamarac.

Given sigma's intervention (Sorry Mrs Simpson), I'll not dwell on this, but "...it is my son who has a PS3, I went back after school and he bought Grand Theft Auto on the PSP for £1.99, Darkness on the PS3 for £3.99 and Army of Two on the PS3 for £12.99."

I wonder why GameStation are selling games with those ratings to school children. Granted I buy my kids titles where the content is not for their age range, but I vet them first (or I'm present in the room as they play ready to stop them if need be).

It is a whole new (misc) thread about whether a high street store should be adhering to the (advisory) ratings & certifications.

But yes, back to the deal thread.

Has anybody seen "FIFA Street 3" for the PS3 on offer?

I bought it from the GameStation web site on 21 January, and they kindly e-mailed me yesterday to let me know they couldn't supply it :(

BFN,

fp.
