Bought the previous blu deal for my mum and works perfectly. Android almost stock and except for not being able to remove Opera browser (can disable) I could remove the very other few apps that came with it.

Had this for a few weeks and its a great phone. Installed Nova launcher and it flies. I've stopped using my Note 4 now.
The phone is well built, finger print scanner is very fast, camera is perfectly adequate for pictures outside and not too bad indoors. It's really made me question why I've been spending a fortune upgrading Samsungs every year. Blu have a new phone , the Vivo 6 due and that is my next purchase.

Anyone know if this phone would work with Google Cardboard?

Great phone this. Mine's been perfect for last 6 months or so and about to order four more for team at work. Best bang for pound currently if you want 4G, dual SIM, decent screen, speed, reliability and build quality. Fingerprint security is great addition.

The battery lasts a couple of days for me. It comes with a screen protector and a clear gel case.

The charging is noticably slower than with a Lenovo K5 though.

Just took the plunge. Other half needed an upgrade, nothing fancy but deffo an upgrade on the old Nexus 4! BTW it does work on Band 20 (need it for GiffGaff). Thanks OP for posting and heat.

Looked at this for my daughter but it's still on Android 5.1 which is a bit out of date and may have security issues.

The Amazon listing shows so : "LIFE MARK includes 4 G LTE 3/7/20/38/40"
ie all three bands - 3, 7 & 20 - needed for complete UK networks' 4G band coverage.

p9 lite is quite a bit better. The blu vivo 5r is a closer match to the p9 lite. Depends what your budget is really there is about £50 difference between this and the p9 lite deal a week or so back.

Ideal price, just a shame it's without Marshmallow and nfc

I was thinking of picking up the P9 lite to replace my Nexus 4. In the end flashed it with Slimrom Android M. It is a complete different phone now. Having said that enjoy your new phone...

Has been on this price for few months. No discount here but supports all UK bands so voted hot

And not only that you can have a micro SD card in as well as 2 SIMs - unlike most of the current dual SIM phones.

is this the best phone out there for this sort of price range? if not can any recommend anything better please?
#27
very tempted by this to replace an aging huawei. worth getting this now or think this or other mobiles will be cheaper towards black Friday ?
1 Like #28
with £ constantly falling on its **** I don't think black Friday will bring any better offers than prices right now. having said that I refuse to buy a phone that don't have its own section on XDA in case manufacturer won't bother to supply android >6.0.1. there is 6.0 floating somewhere but God knows who made that, how many bugs and if any more updates to come...

In what aspect? Build quality? Performance? Feels in hand?

My most concern are the build quality, camera and speed. Does the P9 Lite better in all these three areas? Is this Blu build with metal back too?

this or wait till black Friday to see what offers there are?

id say this or something else. I've heard Wileyfox support is shocking, and the USB connector doesn't fit properly. someone at work has one and couldn't use it for 2 days after an update

I've had this phone now for around a month it's fast although battery life ain't great not as good as the voda ultra6 also the screen can be a bit skittish also I can't get a SMS notification sound to work on it either
#34
just received to replace a SU6 as it was too cumbersome for me. It feels taught despite the removable battery cover and I will be getting a spare battery of eBay soon. The recovery of my old phones setup (78 apps) has nearly finished over wi-fi but has eaten around 8% of the battery. i fully charged before so will discharge as per the supplied instructions before seeing if it lasts long enough. So far no buyers remorse :-)

unfortunately I dropped my Motorola X 2nd gen the other day and smashed the screen. Motorola have contracted out repairs to some company in Norwich who won't say how much a screen repair is. research shows they are hugely unreliable. am thinking I will buy one of these as I don't want to spend several hundred on a replacement. one quest - the fingerprint scanner seems to be on the rear - if I buy a protective cover won't it make that function inoperable. many thanks

nope space for the fingerprint scanner

Had it a few days now and its growing more and more on me. Never had android before so using it a lot messing with settings and installing everything I take a shine to, battery lasting well over a day (that's with loads running and loads installed as well as "ok google" listening all the time)

Coming from windows 8.1 phone there are a few things I miss, Cortana for one, tried the android Cortana but its not the same yet. I did have to reset it once as something I did cocked up the notification sounds. Now got it set up the way I like it with spoken notifications for FB messenger and sms. Finger print scanner works spot on every time, I did find the truecaller thing a bit weird and couldn't uninstall it but I'm getting used to it.

Got a decent flip cover from amazon (with card pockets and cut-outs for everything inc fingerprint scanner for £7) although the gel cover was fine that came with it. The camera seems fine so far under testing in low light but I've installed open camera as well. I would have liked it to have a gyro, but I can live without it. Sound is slightly disappointing, but fine with headphones. Runs Kodi as well as the firetv box. Only had one sim in it so cant comment on the dual aspect.

Can't believe the spec for the price to be honest., Very happy.

snap! dropped my moto x 2nd gen and smashed it a couple of weeks ago. i've looked for screen replacements but cheapest still seems to be quite a bit over £100. real shame because it's been a great phone...

yes I really like it. still using it but these. aka and holes are going to be problematic soon! Motorola customer services got me an indication of price for repair with an upper figure of £200. I paid less than that to buy it. had opened for years really liked the Moto X but think I'm done with expensive smart phones. I think this Blu phone and. sim only contract is the way to go for me!
