Not seen this yet!!, but have seen the original - let the right one in, which is excellent. Heard pretty good things about this, decent price for a recent release.

Critically acclaimed director Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) brings you this astonishing remake of the award winning Swedish horror, Let the Right One In. Let Me In tells the tale of Owen, a young boy who is constantly bullied at school and seeks comfort in his vampire neighbour who lives in secrecy with her guardian. Starring Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road), Chloe Moretz (Kickass) and Elias Koteas (The Fourth Kind).

in the same boat myself i have the original on blu which is brilliant 8)

I've heard mostly good things about this and at 7.95 its worth a try just don't think an Americanization will be as good as the origional

Ye i can't see it being better than the original, but i hear it's alot better well done than other remakes.

I was hoping this would be good after positive reviews and after really enjoying "Let the right one in", I couldn't have been more disappointed. Give this a miss, watch the original and save yourself £7.95.

I actually enjoyed this even though the original is a lot better.I went in watching this thicking it was going to be a really bad American remake but it was not that bad at all imo.

good movie, heat added.

While not a bad movie, it was not as good as the original - which in turn was not as good as the book; but I guess that's always the way! Adding heat though, as the price is good regardless of my personal opinion of the film! Recommend reading the book though.

Maybe it's cause I wanted to like this film so badly, but I hated it

I really wanted to like the original - "Let The Right One In" - but it's the most boring movie I've seen since Dead End.

Brilliant acting, brilliant cinematography, brilliant music, very atmospheric........just boring.

I thought this film was as good as, of not better, than the original.

good price but i thought the movie was awful.

Preferred the original but this is a decent remake. Nice twist with a different ending. May have liked it more if I had not seen the original first.

always makes me laugh that people expect a film to be as good or better than a book

Thanks diGriz - no I didn't say that. I also said "...I guess that's always the way...". It's very subjective anyway - and there are many times when movies HAVE been better than the books on which they were based: Psycho - with the best will in the world, Robert Bloch's original wasn't fantastic. Jaws - Peter Benchley's book was a bit flat. Blade Runner - Mr Dick's original story was hugely improved.. Stand By Me (based on "The Body") - great novella, but the movie injected more warmth, which actually worked. There are times when the director of a movie nails the subject and improves upon it. It's rare, but it happens.

I guess I have to wonder why 'royals' made the comment; I was trying to be helpful and neutral, whereas it seems 'royals' just wanted to shoot someone down....

Liked the soundtrack

Haven't seen 'let the right one in' but I thought this was very good, very dark and messed up in parts, also good performances from the young leads aswell as the always excellent Elias Koteas and Richard Jenkins.
