I fail to believe this.

Good prices. Voted hot. Hopefully prices will keep dropping.

Saw this yesterday afternoon- some are slightly cheaper on import but under a tenner for the likes of ghost rider is fantastic. Voted hot.

Tis true.

Best place to get an idea of the best releases: http://www.dvdtown.com/.

I always check their review and rating for picture quality before purchasing. Ghost rider, I hear, wasn't all that great.

Hellboy is good for picture quality.

unfortunately for me, i have most of them already although my son will be getting open season as i ordered that one.

ghost rider was very good on blu ray, as was hell boy.

the one thing which is a rip of is that some of the films have less extras than a normal dvd, however i buy the film , the extras are just that, extra.

Do you know what your talking about? Some use Mpeg2 encoding but they are not upscaled DVDs as the bitrate is much higher.

Voted Hot. I was after a couple of those films. Nice post, many thanks!

Im not too interested in any of these films tbh. Having said that it's a very good find and voted hot + repped.

Compare a lot of the films, specially the older ones that have since been released on blu ray and you will see what I mean regarding the 'high def' of some titles.

It is the same for the early hd-dvd's though quality wise, hence why I was asking as there must be a forum or comparison site somewhere that tells you which films were filmed in hd and are actual high def and which are simply uprated. The prices on this deal are good though so voted hot :)

Anything that is filmed on *Film* can be High-Def, Film has a mich higher capacity then the HD resolutions.

Thats why things such as Star Trek (The old TV show) are being brought out on HD-DVD, because they were shot on Film.

I do wish people would look things up before they speak.

They are not just upscaled dvd's, some of the first blu-ray's were not as good quality as they are now due to the encoding, but they still use the 1080p resolution, its just that they used the same encoding as dvd's use today and that is called MPEG2, MPEG2 isnt just for DVD's, its just an encoding/codec.

This nob has no idea what he talking about, geez what a tool..............

Im no expert, but I think some of the early blu-rays were encoded in mpeg2 which meant they were not much better then an upscaled DVD.

But now things are done properly with H.264 codecs which is vastly superior.

Read the reviews before you buy.

"This is the automated sendit.com weekly order status mailer.
Listed below are any outstanding orders, and any titles that
have been sent to you in the last week.

Unfortunately we usually have no way of telling how long items
that are out of stock will take to arrive. Most take less than
a week, but occasionally titles drift out of print temporarily,
whilst the distributor waits for sufficient quantity of orders to
duplicate a new batch. If you get fed up waiting, don't forget
you can cancel your order at any time from your Order Status page:
http://www.sendit.com/circle/order_status

Title Status

Monster House (Blu-Ray) Temporarily out of Stock
"

I wonder if they'll just end up cancelling the order for me?
