Problem with Richer Sounds is that you can only buy in-store and stores often have limited stock so one has to order and wait several days until it's there to collect.
Multi region (DVD only!) will probably be £10 more.

There was one down to £40 in currys a month or two ago. It sold out pretty quickly.

No you can buy online form Richer sounds. It's just because this is an old model you can't buy online. It's just luck if your local store has one or not.

there have been plenty of sub £100 BR players in the past. Both Asda and Tesco have sold the BDP-S350 for £99 and recently Pc world/Curry's cleared out there stock of the S350 for £99 (dropping down to £40 for the last few)

That may be, however now the cheapest at Tesco Direct is £150 and it's the same LG one :)

Good find. was considering bagging one of the PS3 deals for bluray but im leaning toward a standalone player...

If anyone wants to point me in the direction of a cheapo with good performance ill be all ears

currys stores are selling the logic bluray player for 79.99 vitek u have a right stinking attitude
#13
I think a ps3 is a better deal much more bang and not just a game console , however if VITEK can't find cheaper ones perhaps he/she should look in Asda or

Plenty of places knocking out the Sony BDP-S350 for anything from £100-£120 (you'll never find one under £100 :whistling:)

I have both a PS3 and a BDP-S350 and all i'll say is i haven't watched a BluRay or DVD with the PS3 since i got the standalone. If it broke I'd buy another standalone.

Yeah, and to think I received an infraction yesterday for far less and had half my posts removed (someone here has even said in full what I blanked out and I still got an infraction, whilst they haven't - talk about consistency).
I guess I must have annoyed a mod somehow ;-)

Same when consoles with built in dvd came out, everyone had it no one used it.

Cold on the deal as others have said "cheaper elsewhere".

No spaces left in my TV cabinet for a stand alone:thumbsup:
Also i thought you used your 360 as a DVD upscaler?
This is not to wind you up btw, i was just curious if you bothered with the upscaling or if you had some other HD device.

Which is totally comparable with the Sharp BD-HP21 which contrary to the original posters claims is not 3 years old and was released at the beginning of the year, now superceded by the BD-HP22 which has just been released and is Profile 2.0 the BD-HP21 is being knocked out at retailers for less than a ton, and has recently been on sale at Makro for just 49.99+VAT.

The original poster needs to get their facts straight as well as reading up on the code of conduct on here rather than throwing their dummy in the dirt at the earliest opportunity
