Noticed these in WHSmith in Cambridge when wandering about at lunchtime...

Saw III £6
Wild Hogs £6
Eragon £7
Hostel £8
Ratatouille £12
Be Kind Rewind £12
Enchanted £12
Condemned £12
Hitman £12

lots more at £15...which is also not too bad for the high street.

W H Smith branch in Maidenhead have signs all over thier DVD shelves stating 'Clearout - Everything must go' Yet the prices on the DVDs are more expensive than before Christmas!

was in the Cambridge branch today also hoping they had the cheap Simpsons sets but alas they didn't

This is defo a store by store thing.

I was in the Metro Centre the other night and went through all their DVD's and Blu Ray. All said out of stock for Blu Ray and no cheap prices at all anyway.

my 'local' one doesnt seem to even sell them :D

yeh is definately store specific, BUT even if it was nationwide im sure not many people would want these, not exactly well sought after movies, but still have some heat as it is an offer! and a good one at that! :)

Don't watch Hostel - it will scar you for life. Once you've seen that stuff there is no going back.

not every store stocks ents, and as far as i know only the larger ones stock(ed) blurays. there's likely to be a sale of games too sometime due to removal of games from whsmith stores alongside the slimming down of the size of the charts available of cds and dvds. something to do with euk going under..

its quite a large store spaced over 3 floors, have noticed its stock has been thinning though in recent months

Fantastic Four was marked up as £7, but when I went to purchase it the SA gave me Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer for the same price. This was despite the fact the new sealed Blu Ray scanned at £15. SA just manually amended the price.

So cheers to the OP and the SA !!!
