tomorrow will be much cheaper.
Why?

I'm guessing the iPhone 7 announcement in two days.

Can anyone comment on the quality of these phones? About five to six times cheaper than an iPhone and although it doesn't have iOS it does appear to have a decent spec.

When phones reach about the same price as a semi decent laptop and they urge you to replace them every year, it's time to take stock, this could do most of what I want.

I got a uleFone and am very happy with it, very good spec and cost £120. Only issue I had (don't think it's a common problem) was the battery temperature sensor went so I had to get a new battery from China (~£20) No biggie.

The smart money is on the up and coming China phones like Honor, uleFone, Doogee etc.

Seems like a rather decent mid range device and great for the price. Checked a review over at Coolosertech and its appears to have a lot going for it. Just a quick word of advice. This device is not currently in stock at Gearbest, the dispatched shipping date isn't until 1st October, should they actually receive stock from the suppliers - there's no guarantee they will. They really need to make highlight its pre-sale or pre order

Only good thing about this vs its competitors is its battery capacity, phones at this price point are very competitive. If you want performance over battery get a LeTV Le1 X600 (32GB around the same price as this). For the best of both worlds the UMI Max is on sale right now or the highly recommend Redmi Note 3.

downside is you would struggle to resell as a lot of people would stay away from a phone they never heard of

I wouldn't say I'd struggle if I couldn't sell a £108 phone.

If you don't mind talking a chance on one of these Chinese-sourced phones: Honor, Xiaomi, Oppo, Lenovo & ZTE are about the only ones I'd consider.

Also, would be a good idea to check if the specific model will work on all the bands you need for the network(s) you'll be using it on - this is a pretty good site that will let you know these details: Will My Phone Work?

Buyer beware: This will be a 720p display, which stretched across a 6 inch screen won't be that crisp and sharp

Seems to have all the 4G bands needed for the UK. But no Play Store, although should be fairly easy to install.

Thanks for this Alice, glad Gearbest are listening but all you've actually done is to bring forward the dispatch shipping date as opposed to making it clear that is a pre order sale. What's likely to happen now is that the dispatch shipping date will change everyday until you physically get the device in stock.

I wouldn't bother. I went on line just before 9am to check it out and the price was the same. Went into livechat with Charissa and she told me that they had the flash sale had finished. I told her it states 71 pieces are remaining and further, I was talking about the promotional price and she told me that it had ended too and she would report it to the relevant department, whoever they are, to remove it!

And as envisaged Gearbest have started to shift the dispatch date to 19th. The excuse is that the supplier has to much demand for the phone. Not a good start !!
