Vastly underatted JRPG- Loved every second of it.... At this price it's well worth a punt
#2
Great Price My son has been after this for a while thanks X)
#3
tempting.. but I've just finished Resonance of Fate, and have just started Tales of Vesperia.. after that I still have Star Ocean and Lost Odyssey still shrink wrapped and waiting... will I ever get to play this game.. how does it compare to the other JRPGs on 360?
#4
gr8 game, dont expect to get all the achievements though :p

If you can put up with the voice acting you're a stronger man than I.
#6
awesome rpg i think i loved it just ordered it again!
#7
I heard this is the longest game on the X360! Seems like a hot deal, good luck to those of you who pick it up!
#8
Not sure about the longest game (only because of Final Fantasy XIII), but it is a really brilliant game, a good 50+ hours of RPG brilliance. A no brainer at £5!

(Also all the concepts was done by the same guy that did Dragon Ball, that's gotta be worth something!)

Great game. The characters are annoying and the voice acting is bad but gameplay-wise it's probably my favourite JRPG on the 360. Play it on hard though otherwise you'll probably find it too easy.

FF is quite short in comparison to some of them.

The longest RPG/JRPG is around 80-100 hours, but I cant remember which one. All I know is that its sitting somewhere in my RPG collection still unplayed :p

That's fair enough, I clocked around 100 on FFXIII, and I kinda regret it tbh, wasn't that great of a game in my opinion, and I love the FF series!

I clocked up about 82 hours on Resonance of Fate and have yet to delve back into the game to tackle the bonus dungeon unlocked at the end of the game or to chase the few remaining achievements.

I have to admit that one of the things that puts me off Blue Dragon is the characters being annoying children. But for £5 there aint much to lose so this has been ordered and is certainly a HOT deal

It depends on what content you actually complete I guess. I ended up on 50 hours on FF, but left a fair chunk of the side missions out.

Most decent RPGs could technically be played for an infinite amount of time without completion.

I remember clocking over 400 hours on Final Fantasy 10 thanks to the amazingly addictive game of blitzball!

Good deal btw :)

To those of you mentioning the annoying voice acting (if I remember rightly there's one character in particular who really takes the cake), set the language to Japanese with English subtitles. It's much more bearable, believe me.

I've got good news and bad news. The good news is, there are 2 follow-up Blue Dragon games. The bad news is, they're on the DS and they're pretty rubbish. The first, BD Plus is a hybrid RPG/RTS thing, the second, BD Awakened Shadows is an action RPG grind-fest.

Wowza, 100 hours in FFXIII is damn impressive. I'm not sure where I'm up to as it's so depressing with that storyline that I always give up on it.
Lost Odyssey I found to be much better but the difficulty kicks my bum on that at the start.

Might be worth getting at only a fiver, will look it up

I don't think anything can be as bad as the small girl on Star Ocean TLH. It increased my hatred for Canadians greatly.

Ordered this on the 6th they say they have dispatched but have not received it yet. Has anyone received there copy or are they usually this slow?
#24
They are usually pretty slow in my experience. An order I placed with them the Thursday before last has just arrived today, while I'm also still waiting for the Blue Dragon I ordered on the day I posted this deal.

I'm quite confident I'll get it too, and for the price I'm not too fussed about waiting, so I don't think you have too much to worry about :)
#25
Anyone else still waiting? Mine was dispatched on the 10th, apparently :p
#26
Still waiting, no rush as my 360 has just red ringed lol.
#27
Still nothing, anyone? Sent 14 days ago now, apparently.
#28
I haven't received it yet, must be sending it via the moon.
#29
Still nowt, Friday will be four weeks since ordering. Have emailed them.
#30
Have you had a reply yet, BlueDan? I'm going to wait it out this week before sending them angry words.
#31
Yes, sorry. They got back within about 12 hours (I emailed late on, so pretty much instant in working hours).

Hi there, This must be missing in the post. We are currently out of stock but are expecting more stock to be with us soon. We can either reship when we recieve new stock or we can issue a refund. Kind Regards

I asked for another once they have more copies in.

tbh I would have believed "lost in the post" if it hadn't happened to multiple people (unless it turns out someone at their sorting office is crooked - rare but it can happen)
#32
I should add I've had stuff from them before without issue, it was a couple of years ago though so for all I know they could have been brought out and are being run by a different set of people now.
#33
That's good to hear, thank you for taking the time to reply.
#34
Hmm, the go to deal link is now dead, and searching their site brings nothing up.
#35
it's been over a month and still no copy either.
#36
I'd suggest you send them a mail through their contact form here. Quote your order number and just state you've been waiting a month and your game still hasn't arrived yet.

BlueDan above did this without issue, and so did I (I went for a refund, can always try again later if they do actually get stock in again at this price) so I'm pretty sure they'll get back to you as well.

So... did *anyone* actually get a copy? :(

Just checked GamesTracker, can backorder at the hut for £4.85, plus 7% quidco.

http://www.thehut.com/games/platforms/xbox-360/blue-dragon/8626225.html
#38
Cancelled now and stuck a back order in with the hut instead, at least they won't charge until it's been sent out.

Should be £4.51 w/quidco.
