the phone has to be 3g for it to work on 3, these are not, so therfor no idon't think so:thumbsup:

was thinking the same.

good deal, but there are lots of smartphones around these days. if this doesn't work with 3G sims, the deal description should not say "will work with all sim cards".

I might have to go against the grain here - I think this will work on '3'.

Reason? Well I bought a £15 really really basic Nokia phone about a year ago (seen here)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nokia-1208-Free-Mobile-Phone/dp/B001RUOPXU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1271008815&sr=8-1

and it worked fine with my '3' sim card.

Now here's the but, I eventually got a text sent to me by 3 to tell me that if I continued to use a non-3G phone that my sim would no longer work. The text said in the next week or two my phone would stop working.

But thats a issue that '3' have themselves, but technically this phone will work. If you only want to use it for nights out and then switch your sim back into your 3G phone then I'm sure you could use it rightly with the 3 network.

Theoretically, yes. But 3 only allow 3G phones on their network, so you would be disconnected.
#15
Love this... Hope it is there when I go tommmorow
#16
watch and check the screens on these

they are very sensitive, think of a calculator and its very easy to crack internally and the LCD to corrupt
#17
Seriously tempted with this. Just picked up a HTC Desire and would love to have an alternative to turn to, and for the price.
#18
These phones are so crap. Cheapest samsung or nokia is 100x better than this.
#19
when not in 3g area it should drop to o2 or vodafone network!
suspended#20
I like them for the price but you could pick up a nokia for this price with a decent screen, but this one is nice and small.

BTW: Many people have been saying that their 3 SIM's aren't even working once putting them into the phone, even with out them having to wait for 3 to cut them off.

Yes but the main crux of this deal are the 'points'. There are only 18 Clubcard points offered online.

Can anyone verify the 200 points instore?

Awesome, I was banned from buying mobiles on Tesco (damn bulk buying policy!), but just ordered one, along with another item i wanted and the order went through... seems bulk buy policy doesn't affect orders with non-phone items, hehe.

I am not too keen on Tesco points.
£1 spend = 1 point
But how much are these points worth?
Is 200 points realy worth £8?

£2 for normal shopping or 4 times value in deals = £8

The points are worth 4x with Clubcard deals, but while I used to use them a lot, the deals don't seem to be as good as they used to be (for me at least) due to new and leaving commercial partners.
