Unlikely as IOS usually only works with the WiFI versions of these adapters. Someone has reported that if you email the developers of this app, there may be a way to use BT adapters, but normally as IOS is so locked down as to what BT can be used for, usually you require the WiFi version. They look very similar hence the confusion sometimes.

ordered hopefully work with my 54 suzuki liana

Great price for a nice piece of kit - Works on a 2011 E90
#20
Had a similar one of these but didn't work on Nissan Qashqai 2010. Torque error message was that it's a clone device and would not work. Ensure you get an original and not a clone.
#21
If you leave it plugged in, will it drain your battery?

I have a slightly different one (this) but I never bother using it because it's a pain to plug and unplug it all the time. I just keep it around in case I ever need to read a fault code now.

To answer those asking about using IOS devices.

IOS doesn't support Serial over Bluetooth, so this wont work on a non jailbreak Iphone.

the wifi versions do work, but they tend to get a bit warm during operation, and can be tempremental when connecting

I have with an E90 2010 and it works like a charm.

However, the torque pro doesn't read all the fault codes. It looks like it only read some engine related fault code. There is a specialist app called BMWhat, quite expensive, but cheaper than going to a dealer.
#24
Does anyone knows a nice specialist app for the VW (Seat, Skoda and Audi)? Or is Torque is able to read all fault codes properly.

Yeah VCDS works very well with Vag group motors, but not with this interface.

I use http://www.ross-tech.com/
works like a charm. Tried it on my Golf, A3 and Leon. Can read all the codes, log sensors and program various aspects of the ecu, but it needs some knowledge and isn't cheap, but significantly cheaper than the VAG tool. Used it to calibrate the steering angle sensor and got rid of a ESP error.

No but works a treat on my Bugatti Veyron. :D
#30
Will it work with a vauxhall Astra
#31
In the UK we use EOBD not OBD 2.

It will read all emission related fault codes from about 2001 (petrol) and 2004 (diesel)

It will also give you a bit of live data from the engine ECU or an Automatic ECU (if your car is auto)

Sometimes better than nothing but most times useless really.

Dealer tools only for resetting airbag lights!

So in a nutshell what does this do
#34
Woooooooow ! This is a very good deal, a lot of people will be out of stock in no time.. By the way, what car brands do they work with? Any list

Never tried putting mine in a nut shell, I just plug it in the port in my car, usually if I get an engine warning light, the app will tell you what the problem is. It will also reset the warning light once you have fixed the fault, something dealers like to charge you a nice fee for.

Of course it works on diesel cars.

I would recommend the elm327 bluetooth mini as it's much smaller.
