sony original?
#2
Yis. I have the original one - its this one!
#3
that would be £14.52 by paypals conversion
#4
Fair play. Think i payed £17+ for mine a few months back

Don't want to put a dampener on this one, and I doubt you'd notice the difference, but this isn't an official remote.

If you look, the brand name "Sony" isn't on any of the pictures, see

http://www.paranoidgnome.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/ps3remote.jpg

They do have the official remote, but it's rather more expensive. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13679

Again you can see the "Sony" written at the bottom of the remote. Still, a deal is a deal! Nice price for a bluetooth remote :gift:

If people don't mind about unbranded remotes, Blockbuster do one for £9.99
#7
i got mine from marshall ward for £4 with £15 off first spend or something like that
#8
I'd rather pay the bit extra and get a genuine one from Amazon for £16.96 with free delivery

Not voting either way.

Cheers, Des.

note of advice for people buying from dealextreme:

since delivery is free order one item at a time.

twice in a row i have ordered from them and they left items missing from the original order. it's a real pain to set up a claim and claims takes ages to sort out. as far as i am aware i am not the only person missing items from dealextreme. so to spare yourself grief i suggest ordering one item at a time.

Voting cold as it's not an original, and not really 'that' cheap to be honest, to be ordering from a US company etc.

I'd rather go for the Gamestation "instore" offer, Casino Royale, HDMI cable and official remote for £19.99

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/427318/sony-blu-ray-bundle-19-99-instore-g/

Voted cold as it's not original.
#13
agreed, not worth it for non sony IMO
#14
£14 for an unofficial remote is no bargain when an official one is only slightly more expensive, cold from me too.
#15
I got mine for £5 in WHSmith it was on here! Not sure if its still availiable
#16
The genuine sony one costs £15 in my local ASDA. Voted cold
#17
Ordered mine for £14.99 from play.com + quidco. Voted Cold
#18
good remote for changing things
#19
This isn't a great deal.
Play has the official remote available for £14.99 with free delivery

Isn't this kinda useless anyway? The PS3 controller is wireless and performs all the functions of a remote

There's a reason why remote controllers are shaped like remote controllers and not joypads....

In any case, this has the functionality on single buttons and doesn't require you to pull up a menu and navigate around it with the pad in order to select a control function.

Could I ask if anyone here has the official remote, have you noticed that the paint on the rubber keys is wearing off? I've had mine for about a year and not used it much, but for what keys I have been pressing the paint is almost worn off!

Anyone else?

mine is official, 2 years old, used loads and looks the same as the day I bought it.

Did you buy your 'official' one from dealextreme?
#24
Voted cold - better off paying a few pence/pounds more for the official one.

@ Mallinersha - I have had the official remote for about 2 years, and have not lost any paint from the keys or anywhere else - sounds like you have a duff one. My PlayTV overlay has lost lots of print though, and has only been one the remote for about 3 months.

ahhh I have ordered one before seeing if its the offical or not =/

How is this HOT? Get to Play or ASDA, HMV e.t.c and buy the original one.
