Cold?
You know of a better way to get to Scotland for less than £20?

Sounds good to me. Wanna go out in Edinburgh (and live by Birmingham) but all my time off has been filled with Ryanair flights

Just unlucky I guess.

I've never had a bad flight with them (mainly because almost every flight, from every airline, departs late - usually pushes back about 15 minutes after the scheduled departure time).
I've had late flights from FlyBe, Easyjet, Ryanair, BA, American, Virgin, etc., but never a late flight from BMI Baby.

The last BMI Baby flight (from Edinburgh to Birmingham) left about 10 minutes late, but made up time (even on that short trip), and arrived early.

I once paid about £30 to change to an earlier FlyBe flight, only for it to be delayed so much it left after the one I was originally booked on.

Wasn't this the airline that had a flight grounded due to safety concerns? I might be thinking of another company so correct me if im wrong.

Lots of flights available, but wanted over £20 for a checked in bag each way, to Edinburgh. Ouch.
#7
Plus £12 for a bag and £2 debit card carge or £3 credit card charge.
But absolutely loads of grief and hassle free of charge!
Last time i flew with these monkeys ended up in Liverpool instead of Manchester because of an inexperienced pilot who couldn`t land in the wind (he did try twice). On checking it was the ONLY flight that day which was "diverted". Took ages to get off the plane because BMIbaby didnt want to pay Liverpool Airport for handling the aircraft and wanted us all to sit on the plane waiting for the wind to die down so the pilot could reattempt landing and Manchester. After alot of shouting and arguing between passengers and crew we all got off and made are own way back, but not after waiting over an hour for the luggage......
You get what you pay for. Old planes, Bad staff, zero customer services (they once changed my flight times by almost 4 hours making it impossible for me to get home and simply refused to refund my money).
If you insist on flying with them, fly early in the morning. As they work on only a 30 minute turnaround, they are always late in the evening.

I think what you people have to realise, is this is a budget airline.
So, they're going to charge you for checked baggage.
They're going to charge you a credit card booking fee (which is their right, under law, because your credit card company will be charging them something like 4%).
They're going to have a quick turn-round (to save on gate parking charges).

But......They're better than FlyBE (whose planes have a tendency to catch fire), and a lot cheaper than BA (who, incidentally, don't appear to have any available flights from BHX to EDI for September or October, and whose website doesn't appear to recognise "Edinburgh" as a destination airport).

I had that with Virgin Atlantic (so it's not just confined to the budget airlines).
In fact, my last Virgin Atlantic flight was delayed by almost five hours.

£24 to check in one bag I don't think so!! They even charge you to book in its free online though LOL!!

We are going with bmibaby to edinburgh from ema and I have bought some tripp superlite cabin cases to take they are cheaper than booking a case in, you can take 10kg on each so we will be traveling very very light this time.

And you can only take one piece of hand luggage on so no handbags as well.

They are the only airline that go from ema to ednburgh so we had no choice.

I use them at least 20 times a year, never once late, they have just got an award for their punctuality ..no scrabble to get seats either.

£3.99 each way for airport check-in.
£7.99 each way for one bag (checked).
Not that different to any of the other budget airlines.
The cheapest return flight (BHX to EDI) with FlyBe costs £0.00 for the seat, yet totals £71.94 including taxes, credit card fees, checking in fees, baggage fees, and an extra £21 if you want to reserve seats.
So I don't think the BMI Baby offer is a bad one.

Well, if you're that unimpressed with BMI Baby, you could always drive to Birmingham and pay £200 for a BA flight.
Oh wait....You can't....BA sold 'BA Connect' to FlyBe, so you'd have to pay them £72 instead.

You could drive to Luton, and catch an Easyjet flight.
They're more expensive than BMI Baby, but a little cheaper than FlyBe, and you wouldn't have to travel on that horrible BMI Baby airline.

That possibly the worst flight story I have ever heard. I would be having a heart attack after two failed landings. And people complain about Ryanair?

same here, forced to land in birmingham instead of cardiff as aircraft need there, no regard for 150 passengers containing babys and children. never again

OK, last time (and I expect it will be the last time) I was flying into Birmingham for the day to attend a conference meeting for my workplace union (I'm a local rep). This was the 8th of July, and flying out my flight was delayed more than 2 hours making me very late for the metting and then later on the return was delayed by more than 2 hours. Now this wasn't a network problem, a fellow rep flew FlyBE and was on-time, and other flights weren't delayed. I know this because I spent a huge ammount of my now abundant free time in Edinburgh and Birmingham airports watching the departure board for news as the BMIBaby folks weren't to be found.

Never again.
