Got my son the boardman junior mountain bike last week worked out at about £190 (from £300) and he loves it. Can be had for the same price with this deal but add £14 for British cycling club membership unless you already have one or know someone who has.

How did you get the price that low brother?

It's a good deal and I've voted hot but Halfords seem to be doing lots of deals over the last few weeks. I ordered the Boardman Team Carbon last week which had 10% off plus an additional £60 spend and save discount so it worked out at about 16% discount overall.

I've picked up a boardman ltd edition. I reserved it Wednesday when they still had 10% off but couldn't pay until today, fair play they ring me yesterday to say they've built the bike but they won't register it through the til because tomorrow (today) there's 15% off so makes it a little cheaper

Trying to renew a 1 year membership for British cycling to get the Halfords 10% off discount, but I just get stuck in a loop, looks like the website isn't redirecting me to the correct page, so i'm just stuck trying to sign up every time.

If i remember correctly, there is a voucher code you have to print off and bring into the store.

The voucher code system is used to get your discount at Chain Reaction.

At Halfords you simply show them your membership card.

Yes, I noticed the same thing.

In some cases the bikes actually cost more this week than last. For example, the CX Team bike has gone up from £699 to £799 on the website so the 15% discount only brings it down to £679, whereas last week you got 10% off all road bikes and £60 off for spending £600 leaving the net price at £569. I know, because I got one at that price (less my British Cycling discount).

mmm picking up a built reserve and collect Boardman Junior tomorrow

presumably they should be able to match the new price (its about 35 less now with the 15% off) ?

or if they don't match - presumably as no money exchanged hands - I'm not obliged to take the bike and I just cancel order and re-order ?

was meant to be picked up on Monday - but they had issues and was delayed till Thurs/Fri - couldn't pick up today so was going to pick up tomorrow morning

Is the 15% off boardman bikes in store or web only? & if it's web only am I right in thinking I won't be able to use my British Cycling discount too?

They told me they don't accept British cycling in addition to the 15% discount (i reserved a bike online then tried to collect at Euston Tower halfords). I will try at another halfords, but don't really know what to say is it written somewhere that they should accept it ?

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm keen to know if they will honour the British Cycling 10% on top of the 15% discount on Boardman bikes. Any advice gratefully received.

I did!! & yes they honoured my british cycling discount on top of the 15%! so i just ordered my nice new Boardman MX Sport rrp £499 for a grand total of £343.49!!

Thanks for letting us know, I was looking to get the same bike. The price before discount is £449 for mx sport, I was also interested in the hybrid comp at £499, haven't been able to make a decision on either yet. Your experience with mx sport would be great, if you could share. Thanks

You're welcome, I will gladly let you know how I get on, I went for the mx sport (wrong as this may be) because I love the look of it & prefered it to the hybrid comp. I will keep you posted however I'm not picking up until Saturday & ive got a feeling I saw somewhere that the 15% offer ends on Sunday so just be careful you don't miss out!!

I picked up my boardman cx team today, I paid roughly £550. I ordered it online and paid in store

£680 (Bike)
£612 (British cycling 10% off)
I then bought £610 worth of gift vouchers for £549
£21 for british cycling + £2 extra i had left over from vouchers makes it £572
-£20 quidco cashback that i'll get later on puts the total to £552ish.

I phoned British cycling to get them to email me a temporary ID just in case (it does say you can do that on the website).

My only concern was my gift cards in conjunction with the british cycling membership, but it seemed to work, only it was a little awkward them having to manually put in every £20 gift voucher into the receipt (yes it's a very long receipt lol).

As for just getting 10% off with british cycling, it says on the website "Discount can be used in conjunction with other instore promotion unless clearly stated otherwise.".
