Looked at this deal quite a few times when it's been on - has any been? Would you recommend it?
#3
Yes. I stayed there with my wife in April this year.
I would recommend this hotel, if You are looking forward to spend some time in and around Aviemore (Cairngorms)!
Room was very comfortable and clean. The location is much quieter compared to tourist busy Aviemore, just 6 miles away (easily accessible by local buses, too). Last time we just booked Bed And Breakfast option, the breakfast was very filling for the day out ahead. This time the deal includes a dinner each night form their Market Menu. Hope anyone else enjoys their stay at The Boat Hotel!

You have loads of walks right outside the door of the hotel. It's situated on national cycle route 7 going towards Aviemore and Granton the other direction. Then just up the road, within walking distance, is a couple more waking tracks.

We stayed for 3 nights at the start of the month, and got engaged while we were there. Rooms were lovely (we stayed in a suite). Only gripe with it was the floors creak a lot and the plumbing needs some fixing so the shower drains a bit faster, but no major issue. The dinner in the restaurant was lovely and breakfast was of a good quality. Definitely recommend going there. Just be careful on the roads!!! Very icy

Its great place mate, changed a lot since I used to go but its expanded quite a lot too. If you like outdoors this is a great deal especially as you get breakfast and a 3 course meal each night. Tabogganing sounds fun lol.

Quicker for most of UK population to drive to Italy

345 miles and a 5hours 30 mins drive from Manchester to Aviemore
Over 900 miles from Manchester to northern Italy and at least a 15 hour drive
Hmm

Looks like they at Itison have added an extra day to purchase this deal, until 7am Wednesday morning. Gives a little more time to decide and take it! :)

There are a lot sarcastic comments about distance here!!?! If it's to far do not go! However my husband and I stayed her a couple of years ago on our way from Caithness back to Lincolnshire. I WOULD HIGHLY RATE IT. As ahas been said its clean, comfortable and the food was God and plentiful. The walks near to the hotel were superb and the proximity to the Cairngorm national park is fantastic.

When in the region I will definitely stay again.

To be fair there was only one sarcastic post about distance that im sure most people wouldnt pay much attention too. I think the deal is great considering all thats included, cant wait to go up and get out in the hills. Everyone who has stayed at the hotel before and posted on here has said the hotel and food is great and I love the area so was a no brainer for me :)

To anyone taking advantage of this deal, watch out with the new drink drive laws up in Scotland. They are stricter than the English law now.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe even a pint may potentially put you over the limit. Be warned.

The hotel is under new management and owners now. I spoke with the manager there about our stay and she was very interested in how we found the food. She said that was one of the biggest complaints under the old management so they were very keen for feedback on it. I stayed for the three nights and ate there each night and the food was exceptional.

Good to see Itison have extended this fantastic deal again, I've changed the date in description! Hope You all find suitable dates for the stay!

If you can be over the limit in Scotland but under in England could you just leg it across the border?
#27
This deal is on every other month . I come from there but didnt know it was under new management . Family member worked there and majority of visitors were from ITISON.

Interesting point. Someone needs to get a Go Pro, give this a go* and then show the results on here.

*Please drink responsibly
