Surely they are much stronger and better than braided nylon or rubber and can be used as a stand!

I'd be concerned about damaging the charge port balancing a phone purely on it. Sceptical about the strength also. Good price though

agree, its alright having an indestructible cable, but if your going to damage the cable or the phone I know which one I would rather replace

seems like a great idea
however the reviews on amazon got me concerned.

Probably good for a smaller lighter phone, if there is such a thing anymore. Love the person giving it a crap review because it didn't keep the phone steady in the car when they were driving! oO

Voted hot. No idea why you would want your phone to stand upright like that but it's a good price and I suppose you could still always lay it flat. Heat.

Sorry, but this is one of the most idiotic pieces of tat I have seen in a long time.

I bought this a few years ago for iphone 4 because there was a price error (through HUKD) and got it cheap and needed a spare charge cable to leave at work. Idea was good to have my phone standing up while it charged but because it put so much weight onto the USB port, it broke the connection to the laptop... avoid.

You're all missing the point here, they're bound to flaunt the secondary perks it's an advert, but it's primary function as a steel charging wire is unbeatable, unbreakable, and if you're foolish enough to think standing your phone on it is worthwhile then so be it but I wouldn't risk it - I simply am sick of broken cables

Maybe treat your cables with some respect or buy better cables? :D

I've never had a single micro USB cable fail or break and I know which I'd prefer to break if I tripped over the cable...

Again, why cold? At £2,50 it was a steel (geddit?). If you don't want it don't buy it, I thought this was about value for money, bargains?

I think all Apple products are s###e but I recognise the fact that an apple product may be cheaper than normal, i.e. a bargain for those that are interested...

Who said I voted it cold?

You must own cheap ass cables. I've never had a single micro USB cable break.

Unless you charge your phone whilst it's dangling out of the window why on earth would you need a steel cable? Is some vandal going to come along with a meat cleaver and chop your cable whilst the phone is charging?

Back up to £21 now anyway so you can all go and take your pills before you pop a blood vessel. ;)
