Not sure why this is being colded cos £2.99 delivered for an Opticom Bluetooth Headset is excellent value.

Perhaps the cold voters would be so kind as to post a link to where this can be bought cheaper

I haven't voted but i am just a little annoyed that there's no free delivery for us twitter followers. Especially when I took the time to skim the description for the desk dots that I would have really liked, to see if there was free delivery and when I read it was I clicked buy and they were alrady sold out in less than a minute. SO on the advice of the email boffer sent out earlier I hit the buy button instantly, and of course no free delivery.

so yeah. gits.
#6
Im glad I didn't stay up for this now! :) No free delivery :-(
#7
Now not being the most technically minded, would this would as a headset with a PS3???
#8
yer i wana know if this works with a ps3 as well

and is this a legit site?
#9
yep works fine (if its like every other bluetooth device :P) just put it into pairing mode and let the ps3 scan for it, then enter the default pairing code (which is 0000) and should pop up in audio device settings

http://www.gadgetmadness.com/archives/20061209-how_to_use_any_bluetooth_headset_with_your_playstation_3_ps3.php

and yes boffer is legit have ordered in the past off them
banned#10
ok still never heard of boffer
#11
Yes it's legit. Sister site to Bigpockets.co.uk, I've had multiple things from both sites with no trouble. They have a spot on TheDVDForums.co.uk if you want to browse that as well :)

EDIT: Forgot to say, ordered & heat added :)

for £3?...:-D

No but this one uses AAA batteries...so for someone like me who is gonna be using the headset for 4/5 hours a day it's gonna be more expensive after about a month!
#15
Cold for me, due to AAA batteries.
#16
I've had one of these as an unbranded 'AMB-02' headset for years and it's utterly useless. It's little wonder it's 'free' with inflated postage to clear out all the stock :)
#17
Never usemobile much but extremely handy for driving should i receive a call...
#18
ordered one for ps3 usage.

thanks!

What part of "CRAP" didnt you understand ? Who wants to be taking out batteries to charge them everytime it goes dead ? Soooo old fashioned.

As opposed to what?

not sure I understand the difference between charging the AAA battery or chariging the internal battery on one of the more expensive alternatives.
#38
Get some cheap rechargeables, charge 4 at a time and you have many hours use. Alternatively hunt around for that charger which you seem to have lost or the dog has chewed!
#39
Cheers for this, great find. That's one less Christmas present to find :-D

Okay, few things;

First of all is Boffer legit ?

Yup, BIG company, one of it's owners is a new Dragon in the Den, so he has a couple of quid behind him. I've been a member almost since it started and no great problems so far.

Why no free postage on this item

Boffer now and again give away freebies, often you have to pay £2.99 for postage, which is the same if you order a Humping Dog USB thingy (okay yeah I got one, it IS amusing to put in the bosses laptop and watch his face when he turns it on in the morning), or a full sized AIR HOCKEY table (wanted one since I was a kid, couldn't resist it). Now and again you get free postage if you remind everyone on your twitter page how wonderful Boffer is, that has been the case all week, everyone got freebies and everything ran out in under a minute. £2.99 for this is good value, about the same price as a Happy Meal, the toy is better and you wont get indigestion

Batteries

What do you think your other Bluetooth headsets run on ? The ONLY difference with this is that you take it out. To me it's a plus, you can't lose the charger, with normal headsets the battery life decreases over time, rechargeable batteries are REALLY cheap these days, but best of all if you get stuck miles from home you can just buy a AAA from any newsagent/petrol station. Oh yes, and if you're out on a hike, which do you want to carry, couple of AAA's or a mains charger and a booster pack/solar charger ?

Did I buy one ?

Course I did, be mad not to :w00t:
