good deal if you got the money.. this is where we get people saying these cars are rubbish and all that kinda thing. wait for it :-)
#2
I hope not.

It's an honest car, and very good value at the price. It's reliable, pleasantly styled and the driving dynamics aren't too far removed from mainstream competitors.

Even with titanic depreciation, it's still a good choice for some.
#3
I'll buy anyone a coffee who lets me have there free one???
#4
Yep , it wouldn't be my first choice at list price (or even tenth) , but for a good sized car for eight grand this a very tempting offer.
#5
I wonder how fast this would go around the track.... move over suzuki...

By the look of the second hand ones its 50% in one year but as your getting it for that shouldn't be too bad.

Not great review but I can't help but vote hot...
#15
HOT HOT HOT, But dont be dissapointed if I don't rush out and buy them!
#16
The only downer here is that they were all pre-registered on June 2008, but apart from that seems like a good deal/ Ideal if you want a cheap runaround to put loads of mileage on during the 3 years warranty period, then be prepared to throw it away afterwards !
#17
how can this not be HOT HOT HOT

Whenever I see one I always initially think they are called a Kia Meningitis ... some killer disease !!!

At this price it doesn't matter!

Of course it matters. It matters more than ever to the kind of people who buy this kind of car.
Expect it to be worth £2k after three years, at best.

The deal is good "value" only because the list price is twice as expensive as it should be, but the only reason I can see for buying this kind of tat car (and regardless of how far Kia have come, they are still tat compared to the mainstream) is because you want a brand new one - a school of thought I could never really understand because where's the prestige in owning a brand new piece of crap?? :)

If this kind of car is your bag, then it's great value.
£8k would buy a lot of nearly new decent cars though, a much better prospect.
#23
Must admit if you were to privately lease a £10,000 car @ £200.00 per month x 36 = £7200 with nothing at the end to show for it. Makes this a pretty good deal. I reckon the Kia would be worth at least £2500.00 in 3 years time
#24
this is a great deal. for anyone on a budget, these cars are great, and part of hyundai group i wouldnt have to think about this, its a no brainer unless you know of a better deal or one coming up ,

Am I missing something here........

Buy One - or Pick and Mix
Pay 5% extra for one (or pick and mix)
2.0i LS would rise from £7,610 to £7,990
2.0i GS would rise from £8,338 to £8,755

It's not BOGOF then.......buy two and save 5%.........that's not a great deal especially as you may be able to knock off the 5% if you really haggle with them.
#26
So... is any actually going for this, Thursday 21st NOV, 2008 at 9am sharp ?

Ebay item: 270295048107

2006 Sport Model 12K on clock selling for £4600.
#28
£1500 cheaper (£6999) brought me a 54 plate Mondeo 2.0 TDCi Zetec S with just 20k on the clock and in mint condition 2 weeks ago. Whilst this is a hot deal as far as the price now against the list prices goes, it is be no means a HOT product.

Read it again, the 5% extra is about changing to a higher spec model, the basic deal is till BOGOF.

Nope, it's "Buy Two For the Price of One" or "Buy One at Half Price".
It's just marketing bollox designed to make it look like a sensational offer, on pre-registered stock that can't be shifted because no-one wants them.
They've simply been registered to make it look like Kia is actually selling something.

So that's around 50% depreciation in four months.
I think a remaining value of £2k in three years is probably somewhat on the optimistic side :)
#32
From my personal experience i wouldn't buy another the paint has peeled off mine and it's only done 8k and the braking system needs attention to pass the MOT and has several other faults when i contacted Kia re the paint that has peeled off they basically said GET LOST!!! and the value of them 2nd hand is next to nothing!!!

was it wrong to lol?!?! The second hand value of a kia is next to nothing to anybody never mind a dealer!! They are always going to be that "stature" of car likie skodas i guess now they are bloomin good cars these days but still most people turn their nose up becasue it is a skoda!!

When you consider it just uses a Ford engine.... Hot deal regardless of "prestige".

For the ones complaining about "prestige" I hope you all drive Rolls-Royces or Aston Martins? As far as I am concerned nothing in the "mainstream" has prestige, you have to go above it.

agree all cars are the same to me when bought with my hard earned cash, if you buy a car for prestige well you seriously need to grow up and get a life a car is for getting from a to b.
