Not the best deal but worth it if (like muggins here) you buy the stuff anyway.

Exhilaration Icy-Fresh and Icy-Fresh Mint

The Exhilaration line with Icy-Fresh Cherry and Icy-Fresh Mint are the newest Dentyl pH products.

Icy-Fresh Cherry and Icy-Fresh Mint offer the same benefits of Smooth Mint and Refreshing Clove, but are formulated with Zabactyl for longer-lasting flavour and fresh breath. Now not only do you see the products working, but you can feel the sensation in your mouth too! The Exhilaration line also gives added residual protection to your teeth and gums.

With Icy-Fresh Cherry and Icy-Fresh Mint, you can Shake it, See it AND Feel it.

going cold, people here must not like fresh breath
#2
I use this stuff :) It works much better than the other brands I've tried over the years and doesn't burn when I accidently swallow it occasionally, as it does not contain alcohol.
#3
i love this stuff i think its the best mouthwash on the market hot from me!
#4
Know what you mean, other stuff is rank

They probably get cheapo Chinese stuff :whistling:
#5
It's the only mouthwash I'll use for 2 reasons, it works and it doesn't burn
#6
I got some other day , love the cherry flavour :w00t:

It is expensive but i always find its on offer quite a lot.

When you spit out though i cant see what im suppose to be looking at as i cant even see nothing , they claim you can see all bactria etc :?

You must have very clean teeth then. I can see small clumps of 'stuff' in the sink after I use it. Yuk.

Voted hot by the way.

I got some my self on Sunday, I really don't like the cherry but the fresh mint is nice. Voting hot.
#9
This is hot. I love this stuff....go through gallons of it despite my dentist telling me how bad mouthwash actually is for your teeth. Its mad seeing all the 'bits' of bacteria.

A-N-D-Y, you know your supposed to shake the bottle before you use it otherwise it wont work?? If you do, I apologise you really must have ultra clean teeth - any tips??
#10
I can't stand the cherry one, it reminds of medicine from my childhood!! :w00t: Much prefer the mint one.
#11
Tastes rank and well overpriced at £3.90 normally (although I have seen it more....)

2 for £3.90 ain't bad though, but like I said, tastes disgusting...
#12
Cherry and smooth mint taste alright.

I'm about to run out so this is good timing.
#13
don't get me wrong but if you compare this branded product with generic Tesco, ASda, etc it is exactly the same, with the same ingredients. The supermarket products are sold for £1 or less

hope this helps

Note - this doesn't apply to the Smooth Mint flavour - only the two shown.
Local Tesco had put Smooth Mint on the same BOGOF shelf as the Cherry / Fresh Mint....watch out!

As for comparisons to the other brands, isn't this one of the very few without alcohol?
#15
Doesn't burn your moth and, most importantly for me, doesn't froth up when you gargle it like the cheap stuff!

I don't know how you're supposed to gargle the cheap stuff for more than a couple of seconds when it froths up so much that it starts spilling out of your mouth...

£2.90 at ASDA but effectively £1.95 each if buying a multiple of 2 at Tesco so good deal. Used to find this stuff on 2 for 1 all the time but I think that was an introductory promotion.
#16
Sold out in Brent X tesco... as I got the last few bottles :-D
#17
Thanks - this stuff is great. Usually too pricy but can't resist for a BOGOF.

Yes it is....However I have recently bought Asda's own brand for 98p (Alcohol free). I have compared both products and they are exactly the same...

I used to use Listerine but my dentist recommended an alcohol free mouth wash prod.

If they have put it on the BOGOF shelf then you should be heading over to customer service with a trolley full complaining that you have been overcharged.

Cold - my dentist told me that the stuff you see in the sink and why your teeth feel so smooth, is related - it contains fat essentially, which is left as a thin film on your teeth and clings to saliva and whatnot in your mouth, hence the lumpy stuff. No thanks! Listerine was recommended as a much better mouthwash (and was recently on at Tesco for 2 for £5 I think).

Don't believe me? Rinse with Dentyl and then do it again in half an hour without drinking or eating anything. As if by magic, lots more "plaque" has appeared! Clever marketing is all it is. I'm sure it works like an average wash and might be fine for those that don't like the normal burn, but not for me thanks.

I did a test as I was sure that there must be something with the bits showing after brushing your teeth. I didn't brush my teeth for 3 days, then used the mouthwash & no bits even came out after spitting it out. Then I brush my teeth & did it again & then there were bits, I believe that something in the mouthwash reacts with something in toothpaste to produce the bits, to make you think it is working well. That is my theory anyway. Also doesn't last for 18 hours like it says on the bottle, probably about 30 minutes.
#22
My dentist actually told me that all mouthwash is a waste of time and money. It rots the inside of your mouth and can cause nasty and very painful blisters. He was telling me that brushing and flossing is more than enough to keep your mouth nice and clean
#23
Don't get the Cherry one...it tastes nice the first time, but after a week of it, the taste knocks you sick.
#24
When i tried this, the 'bits' in the sink when spat out just seems to be saliva which takes on the mouthwash colour. Definitely not plaque or whatever they are trying to make out!
only time i bother with mouthwash is to gargle when i have a sore throat
#25
Urgh - tastes like the devils semen, beware when buying this.
#26
Bought a bottle of both a week or two ago bogof from Tesco and they both taste horrible - the cherry tastes like your gargling with bubblegum flavoured panda pop (remember that stuff!) I just assumed the "bits" were saliva reacting with the stuff.
#27
Yep, it's the saliva reacting with fat in the wash.

To the person who said about mouthwash rotting your mouth ... my dentist always makes people rinse their mouth after working on stuff like fillings. Last time I checked, that was a mouthwash too!
#28
i hate the stuff, doesn't feel like it freshens your breath and the fact that their add campaign is centred around the 'bits' that show up in your sink makes me feel like they are looking to sell it to 2 year olds. If i use a mouthwash i want it to burn to so bad that i know its actually doing something.
