What's on the menu?
The autumn menu features good, hearty, warming food like the succulent pork chop, rich beef and ale pie and 35-day matured fillet steak. Every meal is made with the finest cuts of meat and the freshest seasonal vegetables.

Our special offer

I think you should change the title to Buy One Get One Free, as it's currently quite misleading.
#2
Good deal!
#3
I think "meal" is misleading when talking about these places :p
#4
It is a bit misleading, but a good deal still everyone of their pubs i've been to has always been good food, much better than your standard microwave, deep fat fryer pub. Hot deal thanks!
#5
still a great deal and to be honest to the op that is the way they sent the email Free Meal you really had to read the small print but it is still a good deal as when you go to print voucher it also gives you another for next week for 2 for £10 voted hot

You'll find all their stuff is microwaved or deep fried mate.

needs to be changed to BOGOF

Monday - Friday Only (excluding bank holidays)

our local one sources some of its food locally, so does its best - although those meals are a bit more pricey, so thanks for posting!
#10
Printed mine and going tommorrow!
#11
My local chef and brewer serves gorgeous food so hot for me
#12
:thumbsup:Our local Chef & Brewer also does good food. They too source fresh food locally. Also it is a very nice setting by the canal.
#13
Excellent deal, going tomorrow. H&R added.
#14
I haven't paid full price for a meal in ages, gotta love HUKD.x

The one near me seems higher quality than the other chain pubs as well. This is hot from me.
#16
It's not haute cuisine, but C&Bs menu is much better than many other pub grub chains. I was in one today (The Plough, Aylesbury - owned by Mitchell & Butler, one of their places with the "sizzling platter" menu) which was shockingly bad. Incredibly poor service, long wait, food orders incorrect and of poor quality. By contrast, the Shoulder of Mutton in Wendover has always been decent in my experience - the beef & ale pie is particularly good. They get some half decent ales in there as well.
#17
The pubs from this chain that I've been to have had really fantastic food - not the usual pub fare - more gastropub stuff. Don't know if this true for all their pubs.
#18
You beauty!

The Maenllwyd in Rudry is my favourite place to eat. Great portions of high quality food for a decent price. HOT!

Are you sure you arent mixing this up with Brewers Fayre?

Chef and Brewer have a decent reputation.
#21
Got to be a good deal ! ! !
#22
Thanks this is great - our local one - the Bull in Hockley always has pretty decent food (certainly not deep fried or microwaved rubbish!), As someone else said more like gastro pub type food

No, you're talking rubbish. Please check the facts before you post next time

Shame the bottom bit of the two for a tenner voucher spilled over onto a second page. I put my correct details in to get the voucher, but realisticly you could put in anything. It still generates a voucher. HOT!

To be fair, they do serve chips...

My mate works there as head chef and the lasagna and the curry's are both microwaved and both the products they get most compliments on. I'm not sure if that is a good thing. Comments?
#27
Well my local one, the Hatch in Old Basing, is lush! Like MissPJ I can't remember the last time I paid full price for a meal out.

Which pub does your mate work at? They don't have lasagne or curry at the ones I go to

Bit disappointed, was looking forward to the meal as our local C and B serves lovely food. They have a special menu for these vouchers rather than letting you choose from the main menu and there is not that much choice and the portions are smaller.

This is getting the cheapest meal for free, and applies to the whole menu. The previous deal for money off (see vouchers section) was for a limited menu. This is not.

(or at least the whole menu is applicable at the v nice Heron on the lake in Fleet)

Used mine today, at Ye Olde Swan, Woughton, MK

Was the full menu, huge plate of mixed grill x2

After handing my voucher over, I looked where it went, and there was quite a pile of them.
#32
Just used mine on the full menu on 2 of the more expensive fresh local sourced dishes, no problems and saved £10 on the cheaper meal. There is a 3 course limited menu for £11 but this is a separate offer. So looks like your local has modified rules!
