This is a fantastic deal for people who own a Nintendo Wii or looking for resale, as the individual game prices aren't too bad and is quite competitive but now Virgin are offering BOGOF (buy one get one free) on all the games below but bare in mind that the cheapest one is free.

I know a lot of people will buy these for resale, so i've listed it in a way that if you buy 2 of the same game, you can see how much you're saving when compared to the lowest price on the market but you can obviously mix and match, as you please. :)

Eledees only £35 delivered (cheapest price is £29.79) and if you buy 2, it works out only £17.50 each, so a saving of £12.29 per copy.

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown only £20 delivered (cheapest price is £17.97) and if you buy 2, it works out only £10 each, so a saving of £7.97 per copy.

Spongebob Squarepants: Creature From Krusty Krab only £18 delivered (cheapest price is £17.49) and if you buy 2, it works out only £9 each, so a saving of £8.49 per copy.

Kororinpa only £20 delivered (cheapest price is £16.95) and if you buy 2, it works out only £10 each, so a saving of £6.95 per copy.

Cars only £20 delivered (cheapest price is £16.95) and if you buy 2, it works out only £10 each, so a saving of £6.95 per copy.

Avatar: The Legend Of Aang only £25 delivered (cheapest price is 17.49) and if you buy 2, it works out only £12.50 each, so a saving of £4.99 per copy.

Bionicle Heroes only £23 delivered (cheapest price is £14.99) and if you buy 2, it works out only £11.50 each, so a saving of £3.49 per copy.

Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer only £25 delivered (cheapest price is £14.99) and if you buy 2, it works out only £12.50 each, so a saving of £2.49 per copy.

Hope that helps. :)

No games that stand out to make this an amazing deal for me personally.

But I guess this will interest others with young children.

cheers bought 2 of the spongebob ones - £9 each is a steal. its the only one worth buying if you are considering trade in at cex - the others are the same as what youre paying, but spongie is £12 cash and £16 trade - so i guess ill trade and that way with £32 i should get 3 PSP games, and its only cost me £6 per game that way. which is nice.
#5
That link was for instore prices and i'm quite sure people confirmed that the prices for the BOGOF were actually £40, so each game was £20 each, rather than £9-£17.50 each like it has been found here online. :)

Thanks very much for posting this - when I looked online the other day Kororinpa and Cars were both £35 in the bogof, but now getting the pair of them for £18 delivered (I have a Virgin card) is fantastic! We've been after Kororinpa for a while, and I've had my eye on Cars too. :)

I have just had an email from Virgin saying these are on back order :( does anyone know what the chances are of these actually arriving?

I got that email too, hopefully it's because it's saturday now, so they won't be despatched until tuesday (I am hope that is the reason anyway)
#13
Got to the submit order screen and keep getting an error message saying that they cannot ship to my country. My country is United Kingdom !!! No customer services department until Tuesday so I guess I will miss out on this one

Okay at risk of sounding a complete novice...........when you trade something in with CEX and take an exchange voucher...if you then want to exchange for a different game is the 'price' of the game the exchange value shown or the sale price shown.
I'm not quite sure that makes sense even to me!!!

The exchange price is the price you will get if you give them that game.

The sale price is the price you will pay for the game, using vouchers/money whatever.

HTH.

All these games are rubbish, no wonder Virgin wants to get rid off them.

Thanks for confirming that...for one moment I did think there was a pure exchange rate but I guess that would be too altruistic.:giggle:

Is there really any need to be so abrasive :-(

COuld be worth getting these to trade in at Blockbuster. I think they still do games for £9.99 when you trade in ANY Wii. Will check if they are still doing the deal.

FYI: I order two Wii games from Virgin Megastore this week (one on the 20th, one on the 21st), both said "in stock" when I ordered. After payment, I then received "back order" e-mail notifications, and I thought that I would be waiting weeks for them.

Both items arrived this morning after e-mail "have been despatched" notifications yesterday :)

I haven't even got started yet! :) But thanks for the "rep".

If you visit this link first, and note the voucher/coupon code, you'll get 10% off your VirginMegastores.co.uk order(s) just like I did...

Note that it makes reference to a Virgin Credit Card.

I do not have one but I still got the discount on both of my orders [using different codes from the above URL] :)

Hope you all have a happy gaming extended weekend.

PS. Was just about to buy "Eledees" & "Kororinpa" together for £35 from the Virgin offer, but then spotted that the latter was £17.99 at DVD.co.uk.

So if you just wanted "Kororinpa: Marble Madness" & were adding a second title to get a "good deal" at Virgin, may I suggest you go to DVD.co.uk (with 4% QuidCo too] instead?

But Koronipa is £20 BOGOF so you'd only need to sell/trade the second copy for more than £2 to be getting a better deal and I'm sure blockbuster would give you nearer £15 for it, probably at least £10 cash.

Eledees is a GREAT game and anyone who has posted otherwise in this thread is an idiot.

I guess they just overlooked that your word is law.

Sorry, but one day we'll stop all this freedom of speech, and have no opinions whatsoever.

That's the two games I was considering. They do have Trauma Centre for £25.00 though.

I just got Kororinpa and Bionicle Heroes for £23. Both got 80% reviews in Official Nintendo Magazine. Cheers OP :)
#37
I wouldn't really look at reviews from the Official Nintendo Magazine to be honest. As they will be bias.

You're right Bionicle Heroes did get 80/100 from the Official Nintendo Magazine...
But here's a link to a few other reviews on the game:

http://uk.gamespot.com/wii/action/bionicleheroes/review.html?mode=web&tag=hotslot;theysay

As you can see nobody gave it anywhere near the same score.
#38
Yeah Official Nintendo Magazine is biased i mean they have to encourage sales right

anyway bionicle heroes has an average of 51% on gamerankings

http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/937916.asp?q=bionicle%20heroes

kororinpa is decent though with 71% so it may be worth getting that

I'd like a copy of Kororinpa. Let me know if you'd like to sell or trade.

I have a copy of Excite Truck which I don't really like so that would be a fair trade I think. You will only get around £11 trade in at GAME, perhaps £14 at GameStation. Cash you'd be looking at £8 tops.

How much for "Exite Truck" for the Wii without trade? Does it include the steering wheel?

I would only be interested if the box/manual/inlay/disc are all in very good to excellent/mint condition, and postage is by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (to a mainland UK address). Please also incorporate any fees you may expect in addition to the price if I use PayPal for payment [I am PayPal verified].

If you wish, "PM" me with details to avoid taking over this thread.

Thanks.
