Just received an email from the national lottery stating that if i buy a ticket for this weeks euromillions, i will receive a token enabling me to play next weeks euromillions for free, essentially bogof sort of. I play by direct debit, don't know whether this affects things.

No mention of this on the national-lottery website.

There is nothing on the national lottery site to confirm this.

Are you sure the email was from the National Lottery and not some evil phisher after your login details?

couldn't find anything about this either, so caveat emptor on this one.

I doubt this is a genuine email.

Once you click their email link does it take you to a site that begins https & has a valid certificate?

I get the National Lottery emails and never got this one.

I received it also, but if you look in the T&C's it is only valid for those that receive the e-mail.

"Every person who receives the relevant promotional email from The National Lottery and, during the Promotion Period, purchases a line of EuroMillions for the draw on Friday 29th October 2010 using their National Lottery Interactive Account ("Account") will receive one interactive token worth £2 (each a "Token") which may be used in accordance with paragraph 6 below."
