Just logged on to laptops direct and noticed a banner at the top of the page saying they were doing Buy one Get one Free on laptops when you purchase an extended 3 year warranty.

Basically, if you buy a laptop for under £400 and then pay £70 for an extended 3 year warranty, after 3 years you send off your old laptop and they send you a new one to the same value of what you paid at the time. I imagine £400 would probably buy you a pretty decent laptop in a few years.

Sliding scale for higher priced machines:
£79.97 laptops up to £750
£89.97 up to £1250
£99.97 up to £3000

Not strictly BOGOF I suppose since you have to surrender your old machine but might be of interest for some people...

Fujitsu-Siemens were doing something similar a while back. They promised to keep replacing the old laptop all few years and even increase the value of the replacement each time.

Loads and loads of conditions attached to it - sounded like a silly gimmick to me.
Surprised its been voted so cold, if you use your laptop for work etc and its not your main machine this is an ideal package for you as your machine should still be in good condition after 3 years.

Only problem these days is will the company still be about in 3 Years time.
Sounds like one of those rebate schemes, where they hope people simply forget to send the claim on time or fail to adhere to all the procedures - like they do for mobile phone contracts.
I had the same thought - where will they be in 3 years???
this is tricky as detailed
i dont know if others find the biggest cashback cheque is lost in post or just never offered on mobiles
anyone know if this offer is still on?
there is nothing on their website about it.
