Got one for my Dad too. He'd been complaining that he'd forgotten what a small bush felt like.

No matter how many times i have tried, the leaves always end up falling off :-(

Do you shout TIMBER as it falls over in its tiny pot?

seen these but had my hands full, told wife when i got home, she said you know youll lose interest and it will die, in my defence i said the dog hasnt died, but she said "the tree dosent hassle you until you feed it does it?"

from experience, they just die.

mostly from bad transportation. be careful.

Also had these and they have died, come to the conclusion trees aren’t supposed to grow in a house.

It must be all quiet on the HUKD site when a Bonsai offer gets hot am I alone in thinking these are an abomination

I've had bonsai for years. Yes Ive had some indoors, some lovely ones infact, Thou mine are outdoors most of time. There hardy, as well. You just got to remember that they are in shallow pots, so weill need regular watering when it is hot. Also over the years the routers will grow extensively, so you might need to clip those back. Just to help people out a little, that they do need attention, just not as frequent as a dog.

Ditto! wish i knew how to look after them, on the other hand my jade plant is in full swing, easy!

According to that Ligustrum should be the best for beginners as it's described as "virtually indestructible"

The best bonsai tree I've had was the fir tree by the patio that all the kids that ever came into the garden would casually pick the leaves off've the poor fella only ever got to a meter high but had an impressively gnarled trunk and branches. Once I'd grown up the nephews n nieces continued the pruning tradition twas only when theyd grown up that my dad noticed it seemed to be shooting upwards at an alarming rate and eventually got rid of it.

Is it in 3D?

They are happier outside but are fine indoors so long as you keep them watered. Easiest way is to submerge the pot completely in a sink of water for 15-20 mins once a week so they get a really good drink and they will be fine.

Yes - I think miniature trees are unusual but cute - I don't have a green thumb though.
They need to be grown outdoors and only brought in for short periods at a time.

Hot because Daniel LaRusso would abseil down a cliffside with a rope around a rock for one.
