Edit:woops just seen edi's post.
hey just spotted the whopping price reduction, not that I'm wanting it.

but i typed the number that was on amazon in to google n found this site which has it for £900+

don't know where i'm going with this as i'm slightly hungover :(
This multi volume work is written by hand with pen and ink by Dell call center staff while disgruntled Dell customers are on hold at 28p/min and provides authentic and encyclopaedic information to readers about the 28 states, and the 7 union territories besides providing information about India in a seperate volume. Each volume contains 27 chapters, covers one state/union territory giving worthy information about it all.

Delivery is 6 weeks as all the pages have to be stuck in by hand.
Looks like this books only covers story of Mahatma Ghandi. But what about Indira and Rajiv? Probably 15000 pages wasn't enough...:)
Is this the same book at only $31.50 ??
I don't think so
the one you linked has 338 pages only
Well it must be the same book as it has the same ISBN number: 8121208637

So someone has it listed wrong, but who?

My last post flew over the heads of all reading this thread then ;)
I don't think amazon had it listed wrong as they state the full price and % reduction... and the US site state list price $35
I've ordered 2 copies of this, also took 4 screen shots of thier listing and checkout basket, may ring up later today and find out what they have done wrong.

I worked out that for this to have 15000pages, going by a book of an avg of 400pages there would be approx 37 books (37.5 to be accurate).

I don't know where ppl stand with innaccurate listings but surely something has gone wrong. I've also seen it at similar prices for the same item...

*goes to fish out link*
Hey back again because I found the link i was looking for.

here you go.

I'm confused, ah well
wow 37 books must cost more than £10 only to be delivered...
yeah so i'm guessing there is some con or cock up thats occurred
My bedside table would probably crumble with that tome on it! LOL

It could probably be used as a bedside table.
I've just emailed them asking what it is... if they get back to me I'll post it up for you all
What are the chances they've all lied and its a CD-ROM!!!!!
What are the chances they've all lied and its a CD-ROM!!!!!

shouldn't be
"Gandhi: As We Have Known Him (Paperback) "
I'm holding out for the movie
The book is being sold by WH Smith at £7.50 and others. But this ISBN doesn't give a 15000 page paperback! It's only 301 pages.
I'm holding out for the movie

Starring Adam Sandler????
anyone got the amazon screenshots of this...

anyone else order it?
edit :didn't see when this was originally posted.

i ordered tis book when this post was made - I got it yesterday.

It's only one book, 301 pages - was this a misrepresentation by amazon???

I think they may have it confused with "Land and People of Indian States and Union Territories (Hardcover) " by S.C Bhatt (same author).
