I was in the Maidenhead and Reading Boots and got some fantastic clearance offers. Loads of Santuary scrubs, shave gel and body wash for less than £1. Also Fcuk travel stuff for 25p or 38p each. Also loads of self tan and compact foundation (some french brand) for £4 and even santuary nail and cuticle oil for £2.50

This is nothing new or unusual. Most branches have a clearence section, even the small one local to me in Sale. It's an ongoing thing and nothing worth reporting, which is why you're a big negative.

The items that are being cleared can vary from store to store but recently I got plenty of Hackett and Ted Baker grooming stuff cheap from Sale because Hackett changed their packaging and the Ted Baker stuff was phased out as a stock line. When I tried Manchester, the only clearence stuff was toddlers' and babies' toys.

There are similar shelves in some branches of Superdrug too, but again, it's pot luck regarding what products and which branches.

That may be your opinion however I was thinking that in view of summer, alot of people will be looking for travel size items which are being reduced in Maidenhead and Reading which in this instance would be useful to people living in these areas. I do think you are being unnecessarily nasty here and it is not appreciated.

I think Convert Recon was pointing out why the thread has received a big negative, not to put down your post.

You're very sensitive if you think I was being nasty. I stated a few facts from my helpful observations, no opinion involved, other than why you had a negative at the time.

Maybe it was the way you said it, I too thought it sounded like you were being openly negative and a bit cruel.

It is difficult sometimes to type something you have in your head, as it may come across totally different once it is writtten down.

Thats what I felt as well. Of course when posting as a newbie, one doesn't know what kind of reception one will get. Hopefully someone in Reading or Maidenhead will benefit from my post otherwise too bad. I was only sharing what I happened to see and I didnt see the need to state the obvious and hence my response. And you are right, words do get in the way sometimes and I see that he was trying to help but it came across as being rather rude.

Now I see that it has got some hot points as well. Hmmmm.

Cheers.

Note: Changed the heading to include Reading and Maidenhead
