Boots Baby Soft Fragrance Free Cloth Wipes Refill 72 @ £1.99

This is strange, the offer is spend £10 or more on these wipes and get 200 points, but it's giving the points on half the spend (see piccy in post 2)

As these are 3 for £3.00,it seems they are going into basket @ 99p each ,when you buy 3,so i did these in lots of 3's and the points just keep doubling for half the cost.

ie £11 = 400points and 12 packs of wipes
but you should have spent £20 to get 400 points, try it and see, will post piccys of basket.

I tested this by putting £60 worth into my basket ,you get 600 extra points automaticaly for £60 spend, then you can add the 500 extra points for £50 spend code...i ended up with lots of points,to the point i could'nt figure out how many wipes i had.lol.....as i said a very strange blimp.....alright if you need 100's of wipes and points...lol...

would you like to know what to do with your cotton wool?lol
one day a man asked his wife to get him some fags from the shop, she comes back two hours later with some rolling tobbaco and some paper, hes gets very annoyed and says whats this?she says its much cheaper to roll your own that spend all that money on fags.
some weeks later the wife sends the guy out with a shopping list on it contains some tampax,he goes into the chemist and is walking up and down the ailse looking a bit lost, the chemist says can i help you sir,yes have you got some cotton wool please, yeh sure sir here you are, next stop the diy store where the guy buys a few bits and some string.
half an hour later the guy gets home the grumpy wife asks where her tampax are,the guy passes her the cotton wool and the string and says ere ya go its so much cheaper to roll your own, lmao, sorry couldnt help it lol

Even better with staff discount...but I just don't know how i would ever get through 60 packs of cotton wool pads, even if they do work out as 'effectively' 23p a pack
#18
Great stuff. Just ordered 36pks of wipes and 3 boxes of Nappies (243 nappies) for effectively £34.52! Result!
#19
Top find- many thanks

Just ordered:

21 packs wipes,
1 very nice moses basket
1 baby towel set
1 bay blanket thing ( I'm a bloke- dunno what it was- just order as I'm told!)

All for £50 & a few coppers but with free delivery to my door, over £16 in advantage points, quidco thingy & muchos brownie points off the OH!

Might be allowed out for a pint this weekend at this rate.

Rep left.

i've worked out how the cotton/wipes points are currently worked out. the system is taking the original undiscounted value and using that to award the 200 points. So, for example, the cotton's original price is £3.15, but is currently on a buy 2 for £2 offer. So you put 10 in your basket and that will cost you £10, but the system is awarding points based on the original value of £3.15X10=£31.15, thereby sticking 600 points in your account.

Same principle with wipes.

They'll probably pick this up at some point and fix it but in the meantime I've gotten half back in points and quidco on a £60 spend!
#21
Isn't the £10 off £50 spend voucher still working? Surely thats better than using the code for an extra 600 points.
#22
voted cold due to lack of actual blimps...

Thanks,I ordered in the end.

If these are the same wipes then there isn't really a saving with Boots at all.
Firstly the op didn't point out (apologies if he/she did) that they are on 3 for £3.00 which is why they are going in at half price. I don't think it's a blimp it's more an example of how much excess Boots put on their products. I personally wouldn'y buy them at 43p per pack let alone £1.99. Does anyone buy them ever at that price? Seriously?
It's like their Xmas sale where everything is 75% off - it still isn't a bargain even at that price.
I have to admit it looks a good deal but that is simply down to their marketing strategy and not the blimps. :-)
#29
anyone know what the quality is like? Are they the really thin ones or are they nice and thick and can be used for work surfaces, loos etc?

I said in my orinal post that the blimp was on points not price,as they are advertising £10 spend to get 200 points, but it's giving you 400 points on an £11 spend, which should really mean you have to spend £20 to get 400 points.....I see this as a blimp/error to the buyers advantage that wishes to buy these.....
If not a blimp/error,why did Boots not advertise them at 400 points for £10 spend then??
I did mention the price,but if it's 3 for £3,why are they going into basket @ 3 for £2.97.
Thank you for your imput on this deal :)

Best wipes that we have found are from Morrisons - we have tried all the major types.

Morrisons are thicker and have better packaging - try them and see.

(don't buy budget ones - false economy).

Thanks hotscot!

Bought 63 wipes. We have a new baby!! Though missed out on the cotton.

Anyone thinking they have missed out. Wilkinson's do the cotton, its quality and cheap, though not as cheap as this deal.

Cheers.

Is it possible that you are getting the points on the full price of the item i.e. £1.99 even though they are going in at 99p?
Has anyone ever bought these at £1.99 by the way?

Great deal!!!!

Iv got twins (4 month's old) & a 2 year old still in nappies so we need loads of wipes.

Just got a mixture of wipes & some cotton wool Should of been £60.29 used a £10 off code, So paying £50.29 Plus getting 2791.

Im well please & so is my OH as the points will go towards the next couple of weeks nappies & baby food.

Great post hotscot

Thank you so much for posting - I've just got 1 little monkey but go through wipes like nobody's business. Fairly decenet wipes at £1 a pack with half back as points is a great deal, heat and rep added.

Plus just for grex9101 you can buy a discounted blimp here :
