I nipped into my local Boots to purchase some nappies yesterday and was amazed to see showcards all over the nappy section promoting 5 packs for £10 on the carry pack size instead of the usual 2 for £10 (which has a saving £1.96).
Never afraid to argue my consumer rights I took 5 packs to the till along with a few packs of the Boots Expert sensitive wipes (a great wipe and fab value on BOGOF) and as expected the usual 2 for £10 deal came up. I had taken one of the showcards to the till in anticipation of this, and the staff member who was a manager of some description went to have a look, came back and put them through the till at £10 without a murmur.
The only down side is that the till wouldn't accept points as payment, but having grabbed such a great bargain I wasn't going to push it.
All sizes and styles were being advertised and I bought Natural Fit (size 4 - 26 to a pack) so got £130 nappies for £10.
The point of sale advertising this deal was printed red and white 3 x 5 inch showcards.
Be quick as I should imagine they'll take this deal off as soon as they notice it.
