Same price more or less with a £40 discount code at AO, actually if you're buying electrical items from Boots you're actually buying them from AO.
As for the TV, cheap yes (its a Vestel) but not worth it seeing as the Hisense 65K5510 is often on offer at this price from AO - it's far better in pretty much every respect IMO.
That is currently £899 at AO so quite significantly more expensive - It has been as low as £720 (with code) which is still a fair bit more than this TV

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hisense-h65m5500-65-smart-4k-ultra-hd-tv-silver-732-ao-with-code-2535653

It's been as low as £658 in the last couple of weeks.

Does the code discount all TVs from Boots?
Indeed it does

If you put a cheaper TV in your basket you get the following message when you enter the code:

Sorry, you need to spend at least £599.00 on one product to use this discount code.
£10 an inch, good value, as long as you can fit it in.

Well had this a couple of days now. Delivery was about 3 working days.

Great machine, simple to use compared to our old one which we didnt know what half the things did on the dial. This tells you exactly what its going to do and how long for each programme.

Quite a bit quieter than our old one aswell. Also looks great. Glad i made the purchase.
dave_gilmore81
The 5 year warranty is provided by samsung upon registration. This is actually a better model than the last ecobubble deal as it includes a direct drive motor - at this price it's pretty hot.

It does not have the inverter motor, just checked the Samsung web site.

Be careful buying from boots electrical. My mum bought a cooker from them and according to the sparky we brought out its fan was poorly installed. It failed when it was just out of warranty but the scammers said it wasn't their problem and wouldn't send anyone out to fix it.

I'll never buy an appliance from them again.

Bummer. Only thing is though boots are just the middle man. They dont make the appliences and if it was out of warranty theres not much you can do.

Suggest a better alternative then.

I have 2 Hisense items, they are both extremely well made and terrific value.

there are many alternatives out there, LG or Daewoo would be my budget choice. Budget brands like HiSense are cheaper for a reason, low quality, no infrastructure snd after sales service farmed out to whoever is cheapest.

Fair enough - I must admit I have never heard of the brand.

I was also looking at the Swan American Fridge Freezer:
http://www.very.co.uk/swan-sr8070b-american-style-frost-free-fridge-freezer/1458049822.prd
with 10% off as a new customer it will come under £500.

I am not sure to be honest whether to go for an American Fridge Freezer - I dont think they are as reliable as the separate ones - also I have a large space in my kitchen so in theory I can fit a tall fridge and tall freezer in the space which is what I might do!

Looks to be a great buy, op - heat. Shame no good for me as operating temperature has to be 10 degrees + was looking for one to put in garage.

@mincer - what do you know that we don't? :)

I've been looking at this FF and the prices all appear to be very close to each other when taking the £9.20 of Boots points into account.

Would you please be kind enough to point us in the direction of a deal that makes this beast significantly cheaper than Boots?

Many thanks and a Happy New Year to all our readers!! :D

Deals gone and you were pointed in the right direction - if you had been bothered to check, you could have had it for £239 from kitchen Science with the 4% code plus another 4.04% topcashback (now down to 3.03%) making it £229'ish.

I only had time to point out it needed wiping!

Hope you didn't pay out the extra £16 quid for £9.20's worth of points.;)

If u want a non frost free u can get a hotpoint for £194 which has an equal volume of fridge and freezer unlike this one.
Can be found on kitchenscience website: silver hotpoint RFA52S £195 using code 3extra.
But which is better quality Samsung or hotpoint?

This is not a 50/50 split? 5.4 and 3.4 cubic feet fridge freezer respectively. I think you are confused by the doors being the same size. freezer compartments need more insulation hence less volume.

As to quality - Samsung offer a 2 year warranty compared to hotpoint's 1 year.

Oh and how the heck has this got to 242 degrees when it's cheaper at Comet, Laskys, Kitchen Science and Appliances Online even before codes and significantly cheaper once you use codes? Surely £10 in boots points can't be that much of a bonus?

HAd this delivered last week. Delivery guy refused to even get it off the truck as he measured the doorways and said it wouldn't go so he wasn't going to attempt bringing it in.
Had to leave it on drive and wait for help. Managed to get it in without any problems ourselves. So much for paying for delivery and them dropping it in your kitchen.
Anyway, nice f/f and very please with it. Fridge seems bare now cos it's huge but the freezer is prob only 1.5 times the space we had before, still lots of space.

Smeg dishwashers are generally poor quality - the 5 year gtee is just a free insurance policy - not a makers guarantee like Siemens and Miele have ( I know they are dearer ) if you can't afford them i would always go for a Bosch

er, but arent bosch are owned by one of the cheaper manufacturers
anyway in my experience...smeg stuff is dressed up tat...we were about to buy a smeg fridge...about £1K...but reviews and horror stories from others and friends put us right off and we bought a samsung instead
The Bosch cheapest (£279 ish) at John Lewis - free delivery, £10 to collect old one...

Amazing 30 min wash - have never bothered with the longer washes. Very quiet.

Bosch has a great reputation for a good reason - their dishwashers are excellent - certainly the best at the low end.

I just checked John Lewis and Currys and their cheapest boschs are £349 ish - anyone know if you can get one for less than £300?
I'd buy it just for the name. :-D

We got one of these about 3 - 4 years ago, direct drive and 7kg capacity. It worked fine for the first year but then it started leaking. Also not all of the water gets flushed out of the machine when the cycles end causing the drum to smell which in turn sometimes causes the washing to smell if left for any amount of time in the drum. This is a common problem with these machines. It wont take any liquid conditioner now. We have stripped down the draw area but cannot find any blockage. Going to get a new machine soon but will not get one of these. Good price if you want one but cold from me.

Actually they had double points and the same free delivery offer a couple of weeks ago, but you didn't actually get free delivery at checkout - apparently a bug, there was also a bug where it reported quadruple the points for a few appliances including the machine I was after, but sadly they've managed to fix that too.

I bought a fridge from boots one time and they delivered the wrong one. They have one of the Worst customer service approaches i have ever come across. About 2weeks of fobing me off and messing me around with new delivery dates and pick up dates i cancelled and got my money back. Only good thing was i got to keep the wrong fridge as they didnt turn up on the day they said they would to collect it and i refused point blank to wait in again for them.

Sounds just like them at least you got something out of them in the end ;-), ordered mine from their Screwfix Appliances fronted site, and Screwfix have told me it should have been shut down months ago. They're behind so many appliance websites and alot of people have had the same sort of problems, I'm amazed it's got this hot to be honest when it's available at other sites for similar prices and with far better service
I hvae had a smasung american style fridge and its been great, I have the water and ice machine and its a very good bit of kit.

I have a senseo an arent particularly happy with it. Is this a lot better than the senseo? can someone share their thoughts if they've used both.

I had the Senseo for years and it's now in the garage. I got the Dolce Gusto sent to me for free from Bzz, a marketing company to trial and I must say I'm so glad I received one :)

The Gusto is head and shoulders better than the Senseo, there's no comparison. The only problem being is the 8 drinks you get out of a box gets used up too quickly as the coffee is that good and I'm always having to go to the supermarket to stock back up!

Bin your Senseo and make a space on your worktop for the Dolce Gusto :)
