Can you tie this game to your steam account, so you can use the community features etc?

Or does that only apply if you bought it via steam?

EDIT: Looks like it doesnt ;(
Shame as its a great price for an excellent game, but the PC multiplayer and matchmaking leaves a lot to be desired.

I've never run out of ammo in this game! Nor have I struggled to find any!

Maybe you should have tried a variety of gun types?

Good game spent 40 hrs on it with 3 m8s got the original for £5 recently in a Games for Windows Live sale, But couldn't see myself playing it without m8s as does get repetitive.

Whatttt?
Really?
I couldn't play FPS games at all, got this, loved it and hardly ever ran out of ammo, at first when I couldn't shoot very well but then I soon learnt and I was fine, had too much ammo more than none!

I also loved this game, I only wish I had it on ps3 now because my pc is broke lol

You can't :( - though you can still add it as a "Non-Steam game" which allows community messaging - downside is no achievements that way. Even the Steam version of Borderlands doesn't use Steam for the multiplayer - good if your friends aren't playing a Steam version, bad othwerwise as its matchmaking is rudimentary. If you can get the co-op working it is fantastic.

The co-op just works online now, for me anyways, none steam version, or it did a few months ago when my pc worked lol. No more port forwarding :)

Yeah, you moaned about lack of ammo in the last borderlands deal as well yet you didn't bother to take in peoples responses because if you had you'd have known you were doing it wrong and wouldn't have bothered to make the same incorrect point again. I won't bother correcting you as others have already done so in this deal and the last you posted in.

Good game, decent price...gonna try adjusting the fov settings when I get a new monitor to see if it helps with headaches. :)

Damn those lengthy manuals, all ten pages of them, how do we find time to play the game....
#17
a ten page manual is 9 pages too long.
#18
although im a big fan of rpgs i couldnt stand this one. i think it was on sale on steam for 7£ once

by the way: what do you people think about the new Team Fortress 2 crafting and shop? I whink it is an outrageous and mischivious rip-off scheme that would dissadvantage casual gamers

+1 Sometimes the invitation system is a little dodgy (i.e. is a bit temperamental on who and when you can and can't invite), but on the whole, its all good!

It's fairly intuitive...I read no manual and managed to stumble upon skag piles (which contains ammo) all by my lonesome, I think there's even a very short loading screen hint pointing it out as well. It shouldn't take a genius to figure out to use a variety of weapons either as most people switch them up for given situations which means the ammo lasts even longer and then there's the ammo vending machines, which are pointed out to you early on, that has ammo capacity upgrades and purchasable ammo not to mention the various boxes, toilets, washing machines, etc. containing ammo. None of the above I would say you need a manual for.

There was no harm in looking it up on google if you were really stuck...if I forked out money on a game and ran into problems I'd sure as hell look it up. Now dead space...there's a pc game you can complain about...no patch released even though there's common problems reported about said game, one of the worse being not even getting past the menu screen as it can't be fully viewed by a fair few...bad EA, that's a very bad EA.

My boys are in to the Uncharteds at the mo. Can anyone recommend something similar please.........?
#24
Any ideas why they didnt include all four DLC's on the DISC instead of supplying a code to download them? What makes this GOTY edition different from the old version, apart from the tokens. Seems odd to me, especially as they released two of the DLC's on a seperate disc in the past. I was hoping they'd do the same again for the other two.....

Good price though. HOT!

Good price, great game, especially on co-op, looks fantastic also on a decent rig.

You see, I'm considering this now for the Duke Nukem beta but I can't actually play this game so I would basically be paying 15 quid just for the beta key.

Damn kids ruining videogames industry. Thank god they're [slowly] learning that older gamers are the ones who buy more...
