* Co-Op Design: Borderlands is built from the ground up to be an exciting, intuitive co-operative experience for up to four players simultaneously that rewards players who work together and invest in co-op skills. Split-screen is also supported.
* FPS Gameplay: In this role-playing shooter, choose one of four distinct characters, each with their own individual skill sets. As your character grows throughout this fast-paced FPS, you choose and customise your abilities to suit your style of play!
* Art Style: The distinctive art style combines traditional rendering techniques with hand-drawn textures to paint a bold and eye-catching spin on the FPS genre.
* Vehicular Combat: Jump behind the wheel and engage in high-speed vehicle-to-vehicle combat, complete with spectacular explosions and road-killed Skags!
* Frontier Planet: Search the wasteland planet of Pandora for the legendary Alien Vault. Fight your way through bandits, discover nine native (and aggressive) creatures, and help the few settlers on the planet in your search for a Vault rumoured to contain a great prize - if it even exists!

was just gonna post this myself brilliant price! Ordered as soon as got email cannot moan at this price! Hot!!
#4
Come on Amazon, price match this so my buddy can use his vouchers and co-op with me!

Great game, and the DLC for it is great as well. A steal at £15.
#5
With all the DLC that's been brought, you're going to be looking at a lot more than this but good price nonetheless. I'm waiting until they hopefully bring a GOTY edition out.
#6
So tempted by this but I already have a few games that I haven't played yet and this would just join the queue.

Great price though, game doesn't seem that old at all!
#7
awesome game! It's a COD meets Diablo 2 type game. The General Knoxx DLC is also awesome for what it costs

I'm sure somebody will...

Blah... blah... bought it from Argos for £20 with "Brütal Legend".
Blah... blah... let me know when it is £9.99.
Blah... blah... it is so linear... so boring... the colours are weird... etc.
Blah... blah... I'll wait for the "Game of the Year Edition" with all the recent downloadable content.

...and so on.

I've still to remove the cellophane from my PS3 version... does anybody have tips for game-play?

Thanks.

BFN,

fp.

I enjoyed the first few hours playing this, but found it to be very repetitive after that, in terms of landscape, missions and enemies. It was becoming a bit of a trudge to be honest..........I finally gave up about 6/7 hours in.

I tried a random co-op game, but it was just mayhem. Probably better when played co-op with friends I would think.

I can see the appeal that this game holds for those who like to endlessly grind their stats and find slightly 'better' weapons, but with no real story to drive my interest the game fell flat for me.

Love this game. On my second playthrough now with a level 48 character and still loving it! Plenty of game to keep you busy. If you do get bored going over the same ground it's not difficult to advance the story and get to the later (and much better) stages with a few hours play. I've bought two of the DLC packs and I'm still busy playing them so there is lots of life in the game still. I've found Modern Warfare 2 shelved so I can spend more time mopping up the side missons on this instead. Very hot from me!

Not much fun on single-player, but for co-op it is good cake :)
#12
Really enjoyed the game, but after a corrupt game save I gave up....common problem apparently, but maybe they've fixed it now.
#13
Thanks and a great price
#14
Quidco as well?
#15
This will not last long at this price.

Fantastic deal.
#16
So tempted at this price, if i hadn't just got Bad Company2 and Bioshock2.
#17

#18

Heat for a good game, agreed it's not much on the story front but I found it fun to play especially online for the added challenge and difficulty.

For those who are planning to buy the DLC but want it in a physical disc Gearbox have said they planned on doing so soon:

If you want to play with a challenge don't play too many missions which are deemed "trivial" on single player for you'll end up being overpowered and end up with the game being way too easy - an alternative would be to play online co-op which would not only increase enemy difficulty but also increase the probability of rare items in drops and in crates, however one thing to be cautious of is those who have hacked/modded guns, ruins the whole challenge of the game when playing online co-op. Edit: Oh also those who join the game, don't help whatsoever and just run to all the hidden crate locations picking up all the rare items, obviously best way to prevent this (as well as people with hacked/modded guns) from happening is to play online co-op with friends rather than joining random games/hosting public games.

Also in regards to weapons try and have your main ones elemental based, doing so coupled with an elemental class mod will defeat enemies much faster.

With space go out of your way to rescue all broken claptraps for doing so will increase backpack space however with that said don't be too hesitate from selling weapons/items you once liked - new and diverse weapons are plentiful and you'll realise that the gun you once used is just a waste of space.

Lastly with class mods try to have diverse range with you so you are able to swap out class mods depending on the mission, people you're playing with or if you simply want to try something new away from the set-up you're comfortable with.

Hope that helped and you have fun to when you eventually play Borderlands!

Disclaimer:
Above tips are based upon my own experience of the game and are not "pro-tips" of any sort! :p

Already know about this, expansion pack is priced pre-order priced with Amazon for just over £14.
I'd have preferred a game release with the DLC.

Amazon have price matched play.com,
Helpfully pointed out by member "sionyboy"

Edit/Update:
Seems as though Amazon have now only matched the price for the PS3 version (£27.99 for the Xbox 360 version from Amazon).

Great game. Was a bit dubious when i picked it up, but really enjoying the single player so far.

Reminds me of Diablo in the loot drops etc (maybe im showing my age), but I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Cant comment on multiplayer though as I do not have Live.
#26
this game rocks
#27
was just about to buy but xbox 360 price now up to £35 :(
